2006 STI, 2.5L, no problems...yet!

2004 2.0 wrx auto. No problems in the 5 months I've had it to date. 62k on clock

2007 wrx standard hatchback head gasket went. 2008 wrx moddified no problemos.

My old 2006 2.5wrx suffered ring land failure at 60k. Standard car with full service history. I bought it with engine built to my spec in it.

He drove it 400 miles after it started running funny and mashed the whole engine.


Turbo 2000 (X reg) owned for 2 years. Bought at 158k miles and now at 173k.

Input shaft seal leak on gearbox likely caused by both age and myself. 2 synchro and 3 bearings replaced at same time due to age related wear.

How come wrecked the whole thing mate, ally particles circulating ?, mines run funny for 8k lol
