Seminole81 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Where's the jacking points on our cars? I didn't see any that shouted out at me, so I just lifted from submember the other day? Is that ok? What about TV links? As for rear, is it ok to jack on the rear diff? Not something I'd normally do...
Piggysniffer Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I am pretty sure you shouldn't jack on the rear diff due to the strain it puts on the rubber diff mounts, I stand to be corrected, but when I tried it I didn't like the amount of movement the diff did before it lifted the car 1
stants Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Rear diff is the subaru recommended point, and at the front there's a small metal cross member just after the under tray which is the lift point for the front end Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk 2

Piggysniffer Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Both my front side skirt jackin points have been squashed and pushed up a bit at the front, I presume from someone using a trolley jack with no rubber on the lifting plate, so be careful how and with what you jack it up there

Going to try this...did you use something on the jack to cushion it a bit? I tried to grab some foam from work but there wasn't any so I grabbed a few sticky pad things to put all over the plate...usually see people do it with wood...
david1972 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 I have an ice hockey puck type thing for my trolley jack with a groove cut out. Got it from flea bay about 8 quid or so...just the job Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
