Sounding like i`m going to need a n/s driveshaft, the CV joint has just started clicking  usually cheaper to buy a whole shaft from a breaker.....Ive had the same with my other lady`s in the past. There`s a place in Skelmersdale called Hills Salvage if anyone wants any hard to source parts.

Anyone know if the Outback/Legacy 3.0 shaft is the same as the 2.5?

I`m pretty sure it is but let`s see shall we.................and thanx for the informative input.

Went to Revolution Motorstore (http://www.revolution247.com/) this afternoon for my full alignment. Pretty good service, will do a full write up over the weekend when I get the opportunity.

Looking forward to reading this Tom. I've seen a few cars advertised who've used these folk for their mods

My engine paranoia has returned, seems to be making a 'different' high pitched knocking sound, probably just the cold affecting both my mind and the engine

It's all dirty,   all this in one day, a quick trip to a site in Chester, looks like I'll be cleaning this weekend

That's the thing....white cars and winter roads don't mix.

Such a shame as they look great when freshly cleaned too [emoji106]

I think this had more to do with crappy country lanes and mud than winter salt. But yes it's going to be a long winter car cleaning [emoji6]

I cleaned mine on Saturday. its dirty again now :(

I have to use mine for work, costs me a bit but i can claim 52p per mile. Covers half of my monthly fuel bill though and i love showing off the Subaru :)

lol yeah, 60 mile round trip for me too. I tend to drive really steady, with no fast accelerating (unless required) and stick to 60mph on the motorways to save petrol. oh i turn the air con off too haha.

I'm a bit lucky in that I technically work from home so I claim mileage wherever I travel too. Definitely hate that they salt the roads. Other country's you just have to have winter tyres it's much easier.

That's very true, the roads would last so much longer as well if we didn't salt the roads! Annoying really :(.

Boost sneaked up on me today when pulling out of a junction, got me a little sideways and put a smile on my face :P.

Oh and Dog... your car is dirty!

Mine looks as bad as that every time after I've cleaned. All the tractors pulling the side of the road up [emoji20]

Decided to replace both front driveshafts. Just got a pair for £130.00,....delivered.... brand new with a 3 year warranty.

tried to start it on my lunchbreak...

Nothing

Not moved in 3 weeks and cold weather killed the battery , needs a jump

One of my osram nightbreaker bulbs blew today, felt like a right knob driving home with one light... Couldnt see ****, so had to put my fogs on.... then realised I look like a fog light ******. :(

luckily, i still had the old bulbs, so popped one of those in till i get some replacement bulbs.
