do you have an oil pressure gauge in the car, that looks like the bit that sends the signal to it
-
if your willing to pay that i'd probably go for this one instead, a little dearer with postage on top but it's genuine, i've always been told with sensitive parts like maf's to go genuine as it'll be more accurate and last a bit longer
-
trouble is with a maf they don't usually last that long after a clean, you have the signs it's going and cleaning it mat fix it but it's likely to be a temp fix, also i too have the purple label one on my impreza, it would appear to be the hardest one to find, green label ones are easier as more common, best of luck with it pal ;)

i have a few cars that do this round here, had a lexus is200 once, he wanted to race and put his hands out the sunroof doing a 321 countdown, i floored it for 5 seconds then slowed back down and waited a min or two while he caught up sadly i think it's always gonna be like that, saxo's are favourable for pushing you

good excuse to get some sti rear lights ;)

apparently the guy that found out about the write off said the seller pleaded ignorance saying he knew nothing about it, also someone said they have a high turnover of classics and the one you see in the pic may not be the one you see when you get there, all seems a bit dodgy so i think i'll be giving them a wide birth

heres some info for you, i'd go to the police, they have to take action under the malicious communications act, it might be worth mailing the other people this link too, the more that report it the worse it'll be for him, some guy local here got 6 years for abuse on facebook http://www.neiladdison.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/comm.htm -
fleetwoods pretty much on my doorstep, ive been to that particular one a few times with a mate of mine and it proved to be most useful for hard to find bits, theres always the option to stop by here for a brew too if the mood takes you

Who me? No non yet, got my eye on a sweet white UK loon with a sunroof, up for 2.5k and sent the guy an email asking if I was to supply parts like wheels and other bits and bats would he knock the price down any, trying to cover all avenues for a little payout, anyway he sent an email back with 2 phone numbers on, not a call me, please or thanks anywhere, really annoys me that, doesn't take 2 second to write a small sentence, I'm reluctant to do any dealings with him now on principle of his ignorance to potential buyer, I do want it bad though, I also have a woman on the estate that has a V3 look in white and I know she's stopped driving it but still has it on the drive, I'm tempted to go see if she wants to sell it Sent from my Nexus 7

V3 turbo wagon not starting
Miggs replied to Miggs's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
Yeh I have a spark on all 4 leads, borrowed a set if quality testers and checked that, I have wondered about cam and crank sensors and that will be tomorrow's job, the immobiliser theory has crossed my mind, it has 2 immobilisers and 3 lights, factory one in the clocks, aftermarket one has a main light on the dash and a hidden over ride plug and light in the glove box, the factory light stops flashing when I turn the ignition on, the after market one kills all power to ignition so no instrument lights until I press the alarm fob, the latter would lead me to believe that's fine but I have wondered if the factory one is at fault, I'm not gonna be spending on it as I have intended to strip it down once I have the insurance cheque in the post, I did also wonder if it could be an ecu issue I'll keep you posted guys, thanks for the info Sent from my Nexus 7 -
What interior bits you after, I have a full set of leather door cards for your model, the leather is in yellow but you can get leather dye kit Sent from my Nexus 7

Steel seal is just a clear slushy looking substance on the header tank cap, rad weld is a red fibrous type stuff and I think it's K seal that's copper coloured, I've tried a few in mine last year but nothing worked till I used steel seal, still going now head gasket wise, as died yesterday but I'm pretty sure that's nothing to do with hg Sent from my Nexus 7

Right, yesterday I went out in the car on the school run and had a few stop start errands along the way, all was good with no issues, parked up at home as per, come out to pick kids up and the car just cranks but won't fire, there's half a tank of fuel there's spark and after disconnecting the fuel filter there's fuel gushing out when it's cranked, the ht leads are dry so I would assume the plugs are too on the outside, I've checked fuses and even checked the pick up from the nearside part of the tank is working too and all good, after nearly killing the battery trying it I got the leads out and tried again, it fired for a few seconds then died and has just been cranking since, I've been on it for four hours and am now lost and frustrated, does anybody have any idea what it could be, the check engine light is showing no faults and I've also tried unplugging the maf with no difference Cheers guys Sent from my Nexus 7

if you do get the work done under the warranty i would ask them for the parts they removed from the car as proof they have done it rather than just a quick fix stuff, i have had a head gasket issue lately and as a quick fix till i get another car i bought a bottle of steel seal, it's worked a treat so far and did what it claimed to do, i would like to say next year it will still be the same story but as i said it was just to get me running till i get another car, when i bought the stuff i asked what kind of feedback they had from it and they said mainly car garages buy it to put into customers cars, i think they will probably charge a customer a few hundred for a new head gasket and skim when infact they have just poured a £35 bottle of liquid in the car hope all goes well for you mate, never good when you've just got the car, had that once in a car i bought, did 30.3 miles before i had to get a new engine

my classic makes a gushing/water moving sound when it's first moved, it sounds to me like it's coming from behind the glove box, i assume it's just the water moving round the heater setup so never bothered me, everything works as it should

welcome aboard fella, i too am a VW enthusiast, got sick of the bitching in the scene and getting banned from the forums so came to the subie fold instead, much nicer here ;) as said get some pics of the motor up, if you are using your mobile then tapatalk is worth getting, designed to make forums quicker and easier from mobile devices

If your owt like me I skim across a lot of words when reading things and piece together the bits in the middle, you may have read, hit back boxing day for example, I did think fuel pump to be honest as it's that kind of not starting symptom, left a few mins and it will just catch like it's about to fire then just crank, as if there's a touch of fuel in there from being cranked if that makes sense, I have some bits to do to the wife's car tomorrow and weather permitting I'm gonna have another look at mine, gonna check obvious things like spark and fuel first then go from there, sods law I've just got a new insurance policy for 12 months and I may not be able to use it again lol

Just went and had a nosey lol couldn't resist, is it still looking like the bottom pic? Sti roof spoiler, type r splitter and the Sti spats? Sent from my Nexus 7

Jay, I wasn't rear ended it's just a scrape on the rear door and quarter, it happened boxing day and has been driving pretty much every day since so I don't think it's accident related just bad luck related lol Savage, I've got numerous cars saved into the laptop and on eBay but they are a wide spectrum in price, until I know exactly what I'm getting money wise and when I don't want to be messing sellers about if I'm not in a position to buy Matt, I've not looked in the pics section to be fair, I'll have a look when I get a minute Sent from my Nexus 7
