  2. Ahh nice remap ? Or just a power run ? Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  3. In the last week I booked my car in for a major service at my local garage, one of the only places I trust as two of my friends work there . . I have a 09 330s and about a year ago underwent a full build so trying to keep it on top top shape , The service included them providing the gearbox oil and new spark plugs , I provided the engine oil , but they provided the filter and any other lil bits like sump washer and cabin filter. The garage has always seamed to be fair on price and are very knowledgeable and I have been going there for over a decade with all my cars and work vans and I always try to recommend them when possible . But this time when I went to pay I felt abit sore as the total came to £398 I felt this was really abit steep or am I just being unreasonable ? They then went on to tell me I have a huge amount of advisories prob thinking I would book it in there and then which I clearly didn't the main thing was I need discs and pads all round . Does anybody have any recommendations as to where to buy or what disc and pad combo to go for ? I've seen a black diamond set for a reasonable price but then seen reviews of them cracking where the drilled holes are . And I'm not really a fan of ebc brakes , also I've seen some rear brake discs are more than fronts how does that make sense? Basically looking for recommendations Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

  5. You have to remember, most the time it's only the hand full of negative stuff that gets plastered online Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

  8. I know the guy in question was going to resign over the matter but , I believe the owner of clinic was defending his actions and trying to pusade him to stay as he was a long standing experienced member of staff .. The final outcome I'm unsure . A link to the video of the incident on the " daily mail " website still comes up whenever I type scooby clinic in on Google the footage think of it what you will. But in my opinion you cannot defend those actions , but for them to come through that and still be in existence and still have a big group of customers that support them , can only mean they must be doing something right Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

  10. I had never heard of him before a couple weeks ago till one of my friends said he does a lot if not most of rcms remaps .. Which surprised me as I thought Matt did them . . He can't be that bad otherwise I doubt RCM would take that sort of risk. As for the communication issues he could just be really busy and may have all the best intentions and honestly not have enough time in the day .. I know that feeling all too well people chasing you for this that and the other when you have jobs booked in and stuff it can get very stressful and a bit much sometimes , . But not knowing the guy or any thing about him I really can't comment Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  11. I believe he does alot of work for RCM too Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  12. I'm surprised RCM use him if he has a bad reputation Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  13. I would go to a proper Subaru specialist and avoid these back ally mappers Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  14. Ahh shame I like those hard pipes. Keep thinking about getting one for mine but the kits with hard pipes are so expensive :( Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  15. Looking good . What fmic kit are you running ? Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  16. I'm not a fan of plug in tuning boxes like stants has said a proper remap if the best way they also do a full diagnostic at the same time and can see if the afr and other important data and adjust accordingly, but with a tuning box it's just pot luck really . Diesel tuning is just as popular now as petrol but I'm unsure if anyone , has gone as far as to uprate the turbos on a scooby diesel that I know of . but it could defiantly be done, you need to speak to a proper diesel tuning specialist I know Alan Jeffries engine tuner in Plymouth do specialist diesel tuning and they know their way around a Subaru too ;) , the only thing is when you start tuning a diesel a lot is the smog Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  17. A lil bit more than I thought , but your right that's why I do my plugs every year for the sake of £60 or whatever can save you a lot in the long run .. Yes that's why I like the Cosworth it's just I might try the hks next time as that's a dry type to but doesn't have the ripples init like the Cosworth, now I've cleaned it it can stay till the spring then I will swap it I think.. I've had k & n filters before and I don't like the oil type and the ruin the maf. although I'm sure plenty of people run them with no issues but I'm not a fan . Which is a shame because the mishimoto short ram kit I had my eye on is an oil type filter :( and most kits are for the hatch Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  18. That's interesting so you just replace you don't bother cleaning? they are quite inexpensive really the drop in filters about £20 I mite just try an hks one in the spring as I prefer the dry type Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  19. Yeh, I always find it amazing when you see the big turbo drag cars where the turbo is completely exposed with no air filter! I know the chances of hoovering up crap is unlikely on a drag strip but still.... I know it's crazy and occasionally you see these street cars running open turbos I think I would be on my 4th motor this year if I was to do that Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  20. Lovley looking motor sounds like a well sorted setup to ;) Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  21. It was weird because the turbo side was mint but the inlet side looked ten years old so it's clearly a very effective filter , but it hadn't been looked at for over a year about 10k miles . Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  22. I spent ages trying to sort this with multiple different types of pads on my hatch . But it doesn't seem to be happening ATM " touch wood" I think once the pads bed in a lil bit it goes away . But as sandals said it's completely harmless Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  23. I'm still running a full under tray and the resonator still too . But I think it might be more the design of the cosworth as its rippled it traps the bigger bit instead of the falling to the bottom of the box. I think I've defiantly regained a few hp , but hopefully be going to a short ram system soon Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  24. So my car went in for a service today , so yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to give my air filter a clean. I have a Cosworth drop in dry filter . It's been in about a year now . and before when I've had cone filters on previous cars I've never bothered cleaning them before. How often do you guys clean or replace yours? Because when I took it out the box it was the dirtiest filter I've ever seen it had tiny twigs grit and all kinds of crud in there I've never seen anything like it, i wish I took a pic . I should've done it months ago lol , now It's done the car feels much nicer too. But doe the filter get more dirty as it's an enclosed system ? Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
  25. Would be interesting to see what oil does come in the cars from the factory Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
