  1. Was just looking at how long it might take me and tbh , looks quite strait forward obv it's going to be fiddly the only thing I can see the would be an issue is the fuel lines :/ , and tbh it's only really worth the expense if you do the mod yourself would cost a fortune for a garage to do it . 2. Haha looking good I'm currently whoring parts myself although maybe not quite as exciting as yours ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Some good progress , I would recommend you get a remap after you fit the intake just to be safe and to optimise those gains ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Was an Audi Main dealer that got caught as well a while back. Yes a customers rs6 iirc !Removed! ridiculous Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. some good work mate , Those injectors look familiar ;) , glad you finally got round to using them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hahaha banter !!! Haha i was going to say that but though probably best not too lol .. back to topic tho don't it just suck that you can't take your car in for something as simple as breaks without some disrespectful !Removed! battering it down the road Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Just done some more research it says give up to 6 hrs installation time :/ , I know their a pain in the backside but 6hrs is a long time , does that sound right to you guys ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hahaha is that dyno proven ? ;) maybe I should look into this lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I cant figure out where they got the hp gain from. all the tgv deletes i find they talk about custom tune (in the US flash maps are the norm), which will always see gains over a standard map or even a flash map. Also seems to be they combine it with egr deletes and other bits and bobs so isn't just a tgv delete. Not saying it wont improve things, but i take what comes out of the US with a pinch of salt most of the time rather than actual fact. Did you find any threads that were before, during and after the tgv was removed? I believe from the r and d figures posted but manufactures , also yes all figures are after a tune because the car will limp out if you don't turn the fault off , but 10 hp I feel is a believable gain and remember when manufactures post these gain figures that may well not be peak hp gain that could well be in the midrange , also one would think on a higher tuned car like my own you may well see a greater gain than on a stock car , so it's all swings and roundabouts really Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I just found a good how to guide on another Scoob forum seams quite I'm depth , hope I'm aloud to post here , here's the link if anyone's interested https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1165948 Also here's some faqs regarding tgv deletes it's estimated approx a 10 hp gain https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1663677 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Think it depends on year , I know Alan j doesn't do then on the more modern road cars , or never used to , but as I have no egr no cats , I might as well get rid of them as well ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Also if braking hard from 70 plus mph isn't going to bed your new pads very well , when I got my Godspeed setup it's says you need to do roughly 300 miles driving like miss daisy to properly get the reaction to take place the it sayed do 3 hard breaking almost emergency stop from 70-20 mph then that finishes them off , if it was me I wouldn't be happy especially as they prob charged you a fair whack for the privilege Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That would be the best idea although sounds rather pricey lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Speeding in your car in a residential area isn't going to make you look good , and I doubt they had much mechanical sympathy when battering the car around like warm up etc , I would go confront them and see what they say , but first name and shame the !Removed! ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Carbon cleaning is totally different to red ex tho , carbon cleaning I would recommend , it does seam a really good service and not heard anyone say it wouldn't be suited for built engines etc , where as red ex is only a fuel system treatment so will only clean / cleanse the fuel system Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I really looking just to optimise everything I've got I spose it like running a bigger bell mouth down pipe it's just going to make the air flow more efficient I'm sure you will notice a difference in drivability I hope and with a map , just want to get everything done tbh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I think the Alcateck is the most common I'm not sure tho that might only be for new age Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most fuel treatments and octane boosters say on them only use every 5000 miles or so I defiantly wouldn't recommend using regularly , and tbh most contain nasty stuff the probably isn't that good for your engine like creosote , like I said just use vpower it detergents will do exactly the same thing just over time and if you've been running on it like you say the effectiveness would be minimal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I quite sure a restriction in the intake path like that is going to reduce power those rods take up probably about 10 % surface area let alone the butterfly's so a 10% better flow should equate to a power increase although 20hp is quite optimistic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. No defo not cheep the link you put up are for the older gen engines , the black billet Ones for 08 + cars are even more hahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just run it on vpower will do the same thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Yes I've seen the videos of how to derestrict / remove them yourself , but roger Clark do a sexy black billet set now although quite expensive . it would be much easier to just swap them over the day before remap, the cars my daily so I can't really have it off the road for the length of time it would take me to do the derestriction myself. But you don't think I will run into any reliability issues Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Just wondering if anybody on here has put tgv deletes onto an ej257, the only reason I'm asking is that I read, and it says in the description of some , that it could cause cold start issues. I remember when I got the my build done I did mention them to Alan j , but he said they don't do it on the 257 , but a part of me thought that could've just been because the parts weren't available . But I see Roger Clark now has 257 specific tgv deletes now. ( previous models would work but they would need modifying , I assume the 257 has slightly different fixings on the heads ) So really what I'm asking is that anybody fitted these to a modern sti , and have you had any issues with cold starts or idol, I'm hoping to get mine mapped again later this month or next month so I'm kinda hoarding parts ATM, these are on my list , but if I'm going to get starting issues I won't bother . any input would be greatly appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Don't know why it posted the same photo twice [emoji85] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. that 10k quote if for the engine back in the car and ready to drive home..............but i cant remember if it is for 300hp or 350hp. Yes the starting price from engines tuner is car in and out but them , it was when I got mine done 5.5k for pistons ,rods , bearings , oil pump , water pump and all new gaskets and seals, head studs etc , then its £500 extra for the closed deck inserts, the quality of their work is top notch , they even re galvanised every bolt in the engine and cleaned and painted the block but that's just the engine build drive in drive out if you need a turbo injectors etc that will be more but I would definitely say that's a bit much Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
