What size dials you got .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Haha well I'm a lot further along with the project than where I finished will get the rest up tomorrow, you will have to keep your eyes peeled [emoji51] how do you find the wrx? a guy I knew used to have a wrxs and that was a lovely car not much slower than the 330s do they have an ej series engine or isit an fa direct fuel injection? , I just love the wide arches on the sti shame they didn't do the wrx with the arches over here. Savage about your water leak man I feel your pain .. it's prob just you rad these cars at getting to that sort of age now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh so are you still running the o,e lights ? I was thinking about getting these http://www.rhdjapan.com/valenti-rear-jewel-led-tail-light-revo-set-impreza-grb-gh8.html and the fog you have and maybe do it like you said and just have one reverse light .. Hmm I just don't want a wiring nightmare, I'm an electrican so I know the theory but these new can bus systems can be a pain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I thought it was about time I did a project thread on here. So I've had my midnight blue 330s about 3years now . I came from a 350z 313 because I needed a more practical car, it's a lovley car plenty of power and all the goodies Couple pics from when I got it So every think was fine and I kept the car standard for almost 3 years. In that time I covered about 30k miles , plenty of long journeys upto santapod and silverstone. But it never missed a beat, didn't drink oil or anything. I kept reading about the ej257 engine being made of chocolate. but I thought oh It can't be that bad won't happen to me .. Haha well I was wrong my car last Spring started to drink a considerable amount of coolant :( not good To be continued Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

i did ok then this 1 only cost me £40,the fog light goes on the rear diffuser like this I've been thinking of buying some lights from Japan but I've been worried too .. When you change to the jdm style the don't have a rear fog but two reverse lights so surely the loom it the boot is different, how did it convert did you have to cut the loom ? kershaw-330s replied to Madjonny's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
My car was leaking drinking coolant suspected head gasket failure, I've had a full engine rebuild, and it turned out to be the rad lol ( I did have a broken ringland too tho) seaping but only occasionally no real pattern to the loss.. Best thing to do is a sniff test if you suspect the gasket has failed . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Ha ha yes Japan parts is lethal I got this from them But I don't understand why I should have to order from Japan it's ridiculous and could be pricey for delivery and taxes, why they can't find the parts on they're system . What if the car was damaged. as they're oe parts they have to supply spares for 10 yrs after production, I just don't get it. You would've thought they would want to take my money but clearly not haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is this an sti hatch what model? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I popped into the new dealer the other day try and see if I could get a few bits.. As there is not a dealer anywhere near me it seamed great .. So last week I went down to Havant about 10miles away, mainly to get a paint touch up for the scooby as halfords don't do the right colour, and also to see if they could get me some offical sti accessories for the hatch.. Well what a total waste of time they're absolutely useless I was used to that sort of crap service when I had a vx don't know why but I kinda expected different from them especially as they've recently opened and I'm the owner of one of their flag ship cars.. So I walk in the showroom, lovely 2015 sti in there look round that . Then upto the parts desk three guys sat there, only one typing on the pc and the other two clearly doing nothing ignore me till the guy working says he will be with me in a minute, the other two still sitting doing nothing continued to ignore didn't even ask why I was there , or if they could help.. So this has sort of peeved me a little bit then the guy becomes available, I explained the situation and that I was after a touch up kit for my car so I give him my number plate and all that and he's sat on the PC for about 10 mins till he can find out my paint code and then type that in to find the part (seems rather Irish to me) then another 5 mins later . By this time I've been in there 20ish mins I've only said one sentence and not even been offered a cuppa lol .. So 5 mins pass and he looks at me and not even apologetically, (tbh he sounded smug and relived he didn't have to do anything) he said Subaru discontinued that Colour so we can't get that touch up, and that I would have to get a body shop to mix some for me and wrote the paint code on a card for me. Which I've now discovered was the wrong code .. By this point I'm quite !Removed! off so I expressed my disappointment with the service I've received and that the car isn't even out of the anti corrosion warranty how can they not sell the paint .. He just shrugged it off, didn't care. I then asked about the sti accessories eg front lip and side skirt add ons.. He didn't seem interested and didn't even look on the PCs I'm sure he lied too when he said he only has the catalogs for the 2015 model and that "I would have to find Subaru part numbers for the parts I wanted and then he could search only if Subaru still make them" so basically go away . I stressed to him that they were parts available to buy when the car was new and are available for import from Japan but again he just couldn't be bothered and I feel fobbed off.. I was willing to buy there and then too it's not like I was messing him around.. Oh well sod them I will just take my business elsewhere. And since then I have found an official Subaru touch up for my car online .. Funny isn't it ..needless to say I won't go there again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

EJ25 = STI?
kershaw-330s replied to Simon bright's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
Probably not and your block probably isn't the same as an sti either , the ej257 or 255 in sti trim run a semi closed deck block but I don't think the foresters do . But I maybe wrong Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

As above I have a full set of 560 sti blue injectors. Came out of a sti 330s hatch as I'm running 750ccs now . Will fit any ej engine. Ideal upgrade for a wrx or older sti.. Same as sti pinks.. Can be modified/ up flowed. Good for upto 400hp. O rings look in great condition but original so you may want to replace them, Looking for £75 + postage or make me an offer Alex Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have people seen this www.scoobyclinic.net [emoji23][emoji23] in all honesty I never trusted scooby clinic that's why my car went to Alan Jeffries engine tuner for its rebuild ( an extra two hours away ) spoke to scooby clinic they just seemed very cavalier on the phone. They're prices are extreem they, create faults , try to sell you parts you don't need and at a stupid price, they're stage packages are a joke lol and they're turbos are not great. . I've also heard many story's of people going there form a simple job then getting they're pants pulled down by them.. Like the 2015 sti that recently went there [emoji85] Then this issue with the pot holes arises just totally confirms my thoughts about them, just the way they tried to shrug it off , defend the driver as if nothing happened, threatening the customer with court action . In all honesty it should be the other way round. just proves the type of service they provide, the vid is disgusting it's good the customer took it this far . Other wise these places will just get away with it again and again.. All they had to do was say sorry and offer him some sort of compo which is clearly deserved here but they didn't care. And with technology these days I think they've just shut they're own coffin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But as an answer to your question it could be a bigger job than you think it depends which 2.5 block you get but the case ings are the same it's the heads and the avcs systems that could be a pain . But a well sorted built ej257 is a peach it's just a shame about their standard form Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
