  1. Well my plans depend on others too haha! I'm happy to go on the Saturday and camp if there's a few others doing this. Otherwise I'll just head down early on Sunday morning. Need to know who's wanting to camp really.
  2. God I'm so close to ordering a XBOne with this and Forza 5 now. Thing is, it's money I could spend on the car....

    JAE ?

Didn't spot you at all mate. :( Anyway here are the picks of Scoobs I saw: Probably the nicest BRZ/GT86 I've seen that's isn't race prepped. And not Scoobs but my personal 2 cars of the show http://i62.tinypic.com/qnk7yf.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/2dlqkr9.jpg http://i58.tinypic.com/2v7z7ki.jpg And the 14 plate GTR 35 we had in our club. http://i61.tinypic.com/1yag05.jpg
  4. What time do you want to meet then Ash and whereabouts? I'm near Rivelin valley so close to the snake anyway :). I'll let you go in front now too since you've had your map done and now faster than mine. Plus I'm still bedding in my brakes and got a knackered left hand so not going to be able to push as much as normal.
  5. Forged parts and getting it mapped - of course you would :). Not quite for me. I admit it's a bit daft though, it gets a proper seeing to normally on the road anyway, but still. I'll see on the day, that's if we can get 10 people anyway... Not as easy as it sounds as Japshow has shown.
  6. Haha yea I bet ;). Good job I reminded you then eh? :)
  7. Just want to check, would it be on a weekend? If so out me down. Although I probably won't run on it, don't like putting my cars through that unless I'm getting it mapped or problem solving haha!
  8. Awesome!!! Bet you're looking forward to that drive on Saturday now eh ;). Congrats on the awesome figures, bet it feels amazing, especially after all that steady 2.5k driving.
  9. Liked to help get you to that BJ mate ;)
  10. Sorry Gambit I'm not going to make this after all :(. My hand is still messed up and it isn't really pleasant to drive with at all. I would have caught tram but they're not running and I HATE busses. Plus I'm off work with it so it'd look bad if I got spotted out in a pub lol. Sorry again mate. Will just have to buy you a bottle of pop at Japshow instead ;)
  11. The Hawk has a 2.5l engine instead of the old 2l. Generally puts out about the same power but torque can be/is higher. However the 2.5l engine has a bad reputation for going pop, especially if you mod it - seems a matter of when rather than if so I'd go for the Blobeye. Just do a quick google search or have a quick look on Scoobynet. The 2005 widetrack model with DCCD is also the model many people say it's the best newage Scoob you can get. So I'd definitely say get that one.
  12. Yea sorry to hear Gem. What's happening with this then Gambit, you just having a quiet one with the mrs or still planning on meeting a couple of us?
  13. I will say a lot of meets and shows I've been to this year have been particularly quiet. Even JAE was really quiet this year compared to previous experience. Subaru's have been putting in a pretty bad show overall. Wonder if they're just getting in the wrong hands lately? I also wonder if all the different clubs are hurting bigger meets. It's difficulty to get a good group together when there's 20+ different clubs for each region across the internet/areas. Each will have a couple that want to go which doesn't help any of us as no club can get the numbers. I also hate how much we have to rely on Facebook for so much of this stuff lately. It's just not the same, you don't get anywhere near the same community spirit on there as on a forum. And generally they're mostly twats that just use that. Not all by any means, but most are.
  14. Sorry meant to say earlier won't make it tonight. I picked up a injury at jae over the weekend and driving isn't the pleasant at all!
  15. Yep, sure will be.

    JAE ?

Did you get mate? Had a look round but not seen yours. We've got a R35 in our club :). It's a right beast, brand new 14 plate with only 4k on clock.
  17. Yea just amber all time, was going to leave them at that but I can't actually see them in daylight at all when Amber so going to have to sort it. The place I bought them from has sent me a email back with instructions on how to test if it's the gauges at fault or not so going to pop to Martins again on Monday and see if he has time to have a quick look for me. & if he hasn't got time I'll do it myself and borrow his solder if i manage to crack it. Ash - I need the orange wire as I want them to switch colours when I turn headlights on. Like I say I can't see the amber in day at all and White would be too bright at night.
  18. Gutted. Thought you might have known something I was missing then :(. Yea, took the permanent a ignition lives from clock and the light live from the headlight dip toggle. All tested and getting correct voltage when they should. What's most confusing is how they work amber in day and white at night. Makes no sense why they'd work that way but switch themselves off the other way without lights on....
  19. Yea mate. Why have you got an idea?
  20. Can't be mate, we were messing with the wiring to them for hours. Trying all sorts of combinations and taking supplies from elsewhere. Nothing worked. The most confusing thing was how they worked the opposite way to how I want them... He's already replied about the headlights. Seems to be a good enough guy thankfully! Offered to take them back and re seal them plus a bit of money back so I'm happy (ish) at that.
  21. AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!! !Removed! CARS!!!! Why does nothing ever go right? First of all, the headlights. Fitted, looked great. Washed the car and this happened: Condensation all on the inside of the lense. FFS!!!!! Same on the other side too. Promised me they didn't do this! Just sent him a message, been polite to start with. Will just wait to see his reply. 2nd, those !Removed! gauges! Meant to have the option to light up white in day and amber at night (lights on) or vice versa. Martin wired them in, did a great neat job, and when testing... !Removed! knows what's happened. They light up Amber with lights on, lights off - they just switch off. The actual !Removed!!? But get this, swap the wires round, they will turn on and light up Amber with lights off and switch to White when lights are on. Why the hell do they work one way but just switch off the other? It makes no sense at all. Working this way is useless too as they will just blind me at night, who wants bright white gauges at night? After hours of messing about trying to get them to work we gave up and I've just got them Amber all the time. Only problem with this is they are really difficult to see in daylight. Lastly, due to all this messing about with the gauges and other things it's too late to go to JAE tonight so now I'm going tomorrow instead. Been one of those days..... .... .... !Removed! it, I'm off to pub now.
  22. Some goodies :) Bought them already done from a member on Scoobynet. And as with everything I seem to buy from that site and just because it's me, they're not in the best condition (even though the pics looked good) - lightly scratched lenses, one of the bolt brackets snapped off in the post and he must have been rough when separating them as the backing lip is pretty rough. However I got them over £100 cheaper than they normally go far, I've managed to sort most of the lens scratches with some wet & dry sandpaper and elbow grease. I've used some plastic weld to fix the middle support bracket back on which has set solid now and coloured black with a sharpie pen to take the edge off lol. Luckily it's not a important one should be fine. & while the lip is a bit rough there's plenty of sealant there and have been assured they don't mist or steam up at all which is the main thing. Should be fitting tomorrow now they're respectable :) My new gauges and pod! :) should be fitted tomorrow too before heading to JAE. Soz for the poor pic. stupid phone! Finally got my Dr Colourchip stuff through too. Took 2 weeks but understandable if they do actually get the genuine OEM paint for you. Looks a good kit but won't have time to try it until next weekend now I reckon.

    JAE ?

Thankfully the lot I go with aren't like that. Plus there's a nice variety with them as some members move on but stayed on the site and go to meets due to the people. Last year we had 2 Scoobs of different generations, a S15, Evo 9, mx-5 and a couple others that have currently slipped my mind. The S15 will be making a return and one of the lads who should be coming has a R33 GTR. Have you got a link to the map which shows where each club is?

    JAE ?

I'll pop over at some point. When are you there? I'll be in the Type R Owners area (Honda not Scoobies unfortunately ;) ), in Tsukuba A5,B5,C5,D5 near the showers.
  25. Haha I just pick any parts I like from other owners cars and get them for mine ;)
