  2. So after the days and mins have flown by and the winter and nights are slowly buggering off , its almost that time of biscuits, banter (usually all aimed at me) and Cars. April is the month that we will start running the meets, again and this time i want to see alot more than just us regulars there, we are a very friendly bunch and always say hello to everyone, and remember we all where new at somepoint :) SSS (Sheffield Subaru Services) Address Unit 36 Century Street Sheffield S9 5DX Meeting Time and date 2ND Monday Every Month (unless stated otherwise) 7.00PM/1900hrs Meeting Rules 1. No idiotic driving on the roads surrounding the Meeting. 2. No leaving litter. 3. Do not partake in any other idiotic behaviour. 4. Have fun and meet fellow Subaru owners.
  3. clifford G5 had one on a previous car and its a nice bit of kit. you will look to pay around £550 with turbo timer and Black jack fitted, with also remote start and lock feature to warm the car up. Will also save you around £100-250 on insurance so has good cost efficiency in the long run.
  4. Exedy all day long, standard one is good enough and not expensive, avoid paddle clutches unless you want to end up with constant whiplash and also everyone thinks that you cannot drive as there jerky as hell at low speed.
  5. I wondered what had happened, I had literally just started acceleration as I saw you pull in so didn't really get chance to stop. My light came on on the way back through rivelin but made it too a shell garage :) I'll upload the pics I've got tomorrow as a few need tweaking. Yours did kick a good flame though on lady bower :) I enjoyed the meet and hopefully a few more will come to the next one. Grub was good though. I'm definitely going to chill the right foot out though as it's drinking fuel like no tomorrow.
  6. ah well looks like the 4 of us then NAAAH mind, mine hasnt been washed in ages. used it 4 times since Santa Pod
  7. As Savage said rule everything else out first :) best way is once its warm, rev it to 3.5k-4k and lev revs drop, if the knocking gets louder on the down rev then its most likely the bottom end.
  8. erm can call it half 1040 then :) shouldnt take us too long, to get there, you got anyone else coming stant ?
  9. Easiest way, is dont leave too much in, and before you come to run it again get £5 worth of V power and chuck it in, as fuel does go off, it does take longer than 3 months for this to happen but i always do it this way and never had any issues.
  10. Axel stands and take the handbrake off but leave it in gear, this stops the Brakes rusting on. make sure once a week the car is turned on and turn the sidelights on once the engines running, this causes the engine to put more juice into the battery. if longer than 3 months change the fuel as it does go off.
  11. Heeey and welcome, or fit the Turbo engine and loom :)
  12. Piston slap isnt on the down rev though, mine slaps due to them being forged but only on tick over and when warming up, thicker oil in this situation will just turn the engine into a ticking time bomb im afraid, and most likely the outcome will be it will throw the piston .
  13. As matt has said, from what it sounds like its going to be bottom end, most likely the crank walking.
  14. Europa of sheffield did the update i think.
  15. Saturday the 24th Millstone Inn, Sheffield Road, Hathersage, Derbyshire S32 1DA 11.00Am Weather Permitting For convoys from Sheffield we can meet at Handworth Lidl , name for convoy below Ash
