  1. There's a lot of wind noise and attowe's dyno cell is a sealed room but It's !Removed! brutal over 3 k [emoji19] It wasn't too bad before I fitted the cusco downpipe . The mrs likes it and it stops me doing over 3 k unless I'm on a slip lane [emoji6]
  2. Cheers stants [emoji106] it was the privacy settings [emoji6]
  3. I had to turn the tapatalk notifications off so I actually get some work done while I'm there [emoji55]
  4. Poxy phone lol I might just whats app you a link stants so you can sort it ;-)
  5. Cheers chaps it sort of works now but don't put head phones in cos she's loud lol
  6. Yeah Duncan did it on the road and I had it dyno'd 6 months afterwards
  7. Never uploaded a vid before but thought I'd chuck up a vid of my dirty sounding scoob on utube but can't seem to get the link to work properly https://youtu.be/Lq1nLEtetok
  8. Nice gains from a zorst there bud [emoji106] Nice n quiet on the dyno as well, mine made my ears bleed [emoji19] My old 97 uk made 265 hp with sports cat , sti tmic and k&n pannel with resonator delete , so you should see something like that I'd imagine .
  9. I'll sort a quote for posting over the weekend josh and could you pm me your postcode again bud
  10. Nice one you're definitely a bit sharper with the p.c than me bud [emoji41] I have seen a pic of a convertible classic before but I also saw some hideous versions of the impreza that fortunately didn't make it into mass production
  11. Rota grids are a lovely looking rim imo but I do personally I prefer a chunky spoke rather than "busy looking" thinner multi spoke designs Brocky has just changed his rims on his blue blob there's some pics on his build thread
  12. Got a clean ported standard manifold £50 +pp
  13. make it stop , make it stop it burns my eyes [emoji85]
  14. Thanks for the first few gaulson much appreciated bud [emoji106] The silver is probably my fav so far , its a shame you can't make em shinier (high power as you said ) I'm still a bit undisided tbh although I have made my mind up about ignoring stants texts in future ....... put a !Removed! dragon on it cheeky monkey sod [emoji36] [emoji23] What do you think I'm I'm gonna do next ? cover the hatch sti seats with some tacky sunday market seat covers, hang a scooby doo toy off my rear towing eye and stick some random chrome strips on the bodywork [emoji23] And ghost no probs bud chuck your pics on here fella [emoji106]
  15. Need to get my rims booked in at a spray shop soon as I've possibly sold my spare set . So any help would be appreciated and it's bound to better than I could do[emoji5]
  16. I'm quite impressed with the eibach springs as they seem to be slightly less harsh in a straight line over bumps than my standard springs but a lot stiffer in the twistys [emoji6]
  17. 18's look good but if you're intending on lowering the car be prepared for a harsh ride on our well kept roads . Imo 17's are a better option and even then my arches had to be rolled with wide offset 17" rotas and eibach pro springs or the rears rubbed with 2 people in the back on my classic
  18. I did find the link for a pdf apexi manual but can't seem to copy n paste it for some reason . If you google it and chose the result from rs25 forum in the states ,the link is clean as I've downloaded it myself .it doesn't teach you how to map but it helps you to familiarise yourself with the functions . As a few people have asked what can be seen on the hand controller Here's a few shots of my hand controller after a spirited blast up a slip lane I usually run it in 4 channel mode (my choice of parameters) it shows real time and peak 8 channel shows just peak but gives you a idea of what parameters you can monitor/chose to view in 4 channel mode As for adjustment you can change just about everything if you've got the balls / no how[emoji41]
  19. The "stage" hp would be dependent on the base car . ie A Newage wrx's turbo and injectors wouldn't break into 300 hp range Whereas a newage sti would see 350hp before the injectors and turbo need upgrading [emoji6]
  20. I think newage 2ltr turbo coilpacks are the same , they definitely work on the same principal . Generating the hi amp spark directly on top of the spark plug so less current is lost through the extra resistancethe longer length of wire causes used in the classic set ups . As for the condition I've bought a few bits from mb and matty said they were from a low mileage standard wrx (I've got no reason to believe otherwise ) As for the discs just double check that they're the vented type and your better off to speak (rather than email) to either. . Ayln @as performance . or ian @goodspeed As they'll be able to identify exactly what set up you've got to make sure you get the right parts . And questions with answers make for a good source of info to help in the future (hopefully) So your welcome [emoji106] And if you can't find it with a quick search on here ,ask away bud cos I like to see early classic being saved and given a bit of tlc [emoji4] I've read that the front wings are a close match to the profile of the rear arches. Might be worth looking into too for the repair work (if they are the same )
  21. V1 &v2 have separate coil packs on top of each spark plug (4 coil packs in total) which receive a hi spark from a igniter (behind the boost solenoid ) that gets a low amp signal from the ecu V3/v4 have 1 coil pack in the centre of the inlet that receives a low amp signal from the ecu and generates a spark for all 4 cylinders V5/v6 have 1 coilpack like the v3/v4 but it sits off center on the inlet. Newage separate coil packs by pass the igniter and generate a strong spark directly on top of each spark plug. just make sure you familiarise yourself with the link , are confident you can solder well enough and make sure you get the newage coil pack plugs with a long enough wire to splice. I got my newage coilpacks and "pigtails" (plugs with wires) from Matty @ mb developments (scooby breaker)
  22. Not available for about a month or so as I need a spare set of rims with legal tyres while I get my rotas refurbed . I'll get some better pic's at the weekend showing the flaky silver paint
  23. Got a set of speedline chronos that are in need of a refurb £130 +p&p here's a pic of them on my classic . They don't clear 4 pots but were fine with my uk turbos 2 pots
  24. !Removed! hell that's a lot of dough bud . When I spoke to his assistant last year he said he wasn't keen on mapping older cars without any history as if they let go on the dyno people might think it was his fault and bad mouth him on forums He'd probably spend all day mapping it though as he's very thorough and maps off boost to gain better economy (not just power) I think Andy forest does apexi and is mobile so will come to you , might be a bit cheaper mapping on the road .
  25. Once my base map has was done I was tempted to have a go myself but didn't as it's easy to make a little tweek and make a costly big mistake. Saying that I might still give it a go in the future once I've got some way of monitoring the afr (fitted a gauge and a wideband lambada) as I think afr is the only thing you can't log from the hand controller. I've got a link on the p.c for a pdf on apexi I'll chuck it on here for you when I get chance
