  1. If it's clutch I've got a pink box exedy clutch it's done about 4k @265 hp Only want £50 for it as the thrust race is missing
  2. They're a sort of graphite metalic grey atm and unless it's gleaming sunshine you can't see the rims at all .so I fancy a change from the current dull grey'ish colour. Mrs recons black is more mean Silver is more classy . So she's no help lol
  3. I've had to go with black or normal silver rather than high power silver (chrome'ish) cos I know the mrs will kurb em at some point [emoji55] blacks probably the obvious choice but everyone gets their wheels refurbed black on silver classics and I like to do things a bit different So 50 / 50 atm [emoji51]
  4. If you do get another 5 speed go for a newage one with a matching rear diff ,as they're stronger than the classic ones and cost less than a 3rd of a 6 speed [emoji6]
  5. Took the rotas off as I need to get the tyres popped off for the refurb and fitted the speedlines I had decided to do them gloss black but quite liking the silver rims [emoji15] Gotta make my mind up by tomorrow afternoon when they get collected Black ? Or Silver ? What do you boys think
  6. Yes mate still got the crystal fogs , white line steel arm droplinks and a full set of pannels/ glass [emoji6]
  7. "Loud pipes save lives" is my motto.... Got a dam site more chance running a texting pedestrian over in a silent electric eco hybrid than in my burbling scoob [emoji39] unless they're deaf of cause ,tbh even then they'd probably feel the rumble as I approach[emoji4]
  8. I Saw a md321 specked for a 2.5 ltr for £800 on a facebook site today [emoji6] if your running esl why not have the second map a low boost "eco" map (ideal for mot's)
  9. Good to hear that you're feeling better and finding the time to pick up the spanners . What's the route for the turbo now bud ? As I thought you had the rotated gt set up for sale
  10. Switched the cruddy ps pump bracket over for one I cleaned up Gave the alternator a bit of a clean up too
  11. yeah to be honest I forgot about the crank as mine was fine and therefore re used . You could always just buy a newage sti bottom end and bolt your heads to it [emoji6] Either way just keep everything uber clean during assembly , check everything at least twice and don't skimp on gaskets . Mine is noisy when cold but has been running 300hp+ for 8k mls and doesn't leak a drop of oil or water due to using all new genuine gaskets
  12. Does depend on target power and whether you want to wait for bargains to crop up or buy it all at once . 350 hp is about the limit for the classic drive train so if you're aiming for about 400 hp max you'd probably be looking at about £1.5 k including machining costs if you build it yourself Open deck blocks are good for 400+ hp with the right internals of course
  13. Sorry boys you're stuck with me and the v1sti for a while yet I was gonna string it along for a bit but apparently it's bad luck to prank after midday[emoji6] Parts store is looking a bit bear now stants[emoji57] anyways at least I got you back for egging gaulson on to defile my scoob with tacky graphics [emoji87]
  14. Well I guess you 2 don't look at the date on the calendar when you get up in the morning [emoji39] [emoji12] [emoji23]
  15. I've just excepted a offer on my classic (that couldn't be refused) [emoji17] Still sticking with jap but I might have to scratch my fq380 evo itch at last [emoji16] Don't worry I'll still be on here every now and then , you won't get rid of me that easy [emoji6]
  16. Glad to see it's coming together (well sort of) How long do you think till you've got boost not burble back in your life bud ?
  17. Sorry i Haven't got any pics of the front 2 pots stants You could give alyn at as performance a bell or bob at aztech performance ,either of those would know [emoji6] As for 4 pots and needing a bit more clearance I run a 6 mm generic spacers with my 17" speedlines they only cost about £20 [emoji48]
  18. Very nearly cos they look good it was just a few other factors that made me stick with the rotas . The calibre gtr 18's don't fit brembos (I'll probably need bigger brakes eventually) I like the ride/handling with the 17's (dunno if the smaller profile tyres would change that) The rotas are a better made rim and are lighter . I've found someone who will acid strip refurb and re powder coat each rim for £40+ vat . So hopefully they'll be silver and back on with new nuts/centre caps within a fortnight If anyone else likes the look of the 18's they're on scabby net for £400 collected from basildon [emoji6]
  19. If they've got solid rear discs then they're probably the same as my 97 uk set up as well bud Can't upload pics (im out in the sticks) but I think there's a pic on my build thread [emoji6]
  20. I'd visually check for soot marks on the joins once you've narrowed it down by ear. As I wouldn't want you to buy gaskets that you might not need. If it is a gasket issue and Pending in on the condition of the existing turbo outlet and up pipe studs and nuts, you might want to buy a few new ones just in case you fubar some on removal and have to wait until you can source some . Turbo outlet (once the tmic is off) 15 mins to change if all goes well. Up pipe about 1hr and £20 for the swear tin
  21. You could have bought those 18's I was looking at for £400 and the tyre's had only done 1k mls [emoji6]
