gearbox
Hi Darren how's the box conversion going ? I've found myself in need of a early mechanical speedo sensor and wondered if the one out of the jdm box was any good (as they sometimes snap upon removal) If so how much do you want for it ? Best of luck Clive

No Power When Cold, but fine once starts to warm up
I let my oil temp get to at least 70° before using boost . so I've never experienced under performance while cold , but I do get a bit of "hunting" until it's warm enough to shut off the high idle . I am running maffless though and can't remember what it was like when standard Mabye try cleaning the idle control valve or chucking in a new set of spark plugs / service.

V1 sti cdb long engine
I've seen just the block halves go for £400 and this being a sti cdb long engine will have underbore oil squirters , forged pistons and sti cams . I'll try to sort a video link once it goes on ebay but , here's the rr graph from attowes for now

Wagon x 02
Nipped out for a pint and came back with some chickens and a wagon ..... only in norfolk lol . Mind you I plastered a blokes room for half a cow in in a bag but, I do live in Suffolk [emoji39] cheap as chips and a result having clean arches bud .

a few pics of my project so far
Well think I've decided to give the apexi a try in the v1 shell as I don't fancy changing the loom to fit my v3 esl'd ecu and inlet . So I'll be keeping the phase 1 inlet set up and going back to running a maff (for now) The car was made in may 94 so has obviously got a few marks on the bodywork . The general idea is to remove any rust , prep, repaint and protect the underside of the car . so I thought I'd remove the side skirts and see what lies beneath . Just a tiny amount of rust along the lip of the sill rear arch this side is in slightly better nick than my 17 yr old uk[emoji4] Hopefully the other sides will be in the same condition and once done I'll start on the inner rear arches . Unfortunately they've been rolled but fairly well and have been resealed (painted)

hatch sti seats ?
Yeah I've got 2 6 speeds atm 04 plate blob sti one in my scooby and 02 plate bug sti one in the v1 shell, but neither will be up for sale till November. when I switch engine's over , cos I might bolt my uk's engine to the v1 box and then sell my box . As there both good boxes and it will save me removing 2 heavy 6 speeds[emoji6]

First upgrade advice
Esl is open source (no licence needed) so mabey that's why they don't mind just flashing a base map ,that suits your mods and tweeking it for about £150 Just Need a crash course in all things apexi now as I need to get used to the hand controller

First upgrade advice
Soz matt i edited my comment a bit b4 you posted . I Will admit that I don't know to much about the prices of ecutek as I can't use it , but I thought it was £500 + new with map n licence . also i didn't know that mappers don't like using others ecu's (I've had 3 mappers look at my esl ) Those are nice figures from yours was that with newage tmic , decat and induction mods ?

First upgrade advice
Has it been mapped b4 ? If not ash is selling a ecutek'd ecu with licence for £250 front entry tdo5 and new gaskets £200 then to map the ecutek'd ecu on a dyno about £200 I'd imagine that you'd see 300 hp ish with the current tmic and 440cc yellow injectors. You might see a bit more power with a sti or newage tmic , but with the 440's and uk cams I wouldn't have thought you'd hit over 330 hp though.

V1 sti cdb long engine
This closed deck long engine is out of a low mileage (sub 80km) v1 sti and is currently running 347 hp @ 1.2 bar . Both simon (jgm) and clive attowe have both mapped this car and remarked at how sweet the engine is . it hit 350+ hp during mapping but, boost was backed off due to the 440's maxing out . This engine will fit any version 1 to version 4 scoob collection preferred £650 ono Price includes short block and heads only . Thanks for looking Clive

newbie
It was only a guess at the version of classic scoob from the pic of the bay . Classic scoob engines basically come in 3 types . V1/v2 93 to early 96 V3/v4 late 96 to 98 V5/v6 99 to early 2001 So when looking for spares most people use the version number to know what fits , as the manufacture years overlap [emoji6] Start a thread in subaru engine's tech section describing your symptoms and we'll try to help with that too[emoji6]
