Hi mate welcome to S.O.C These cars do use a lot of oil so do tend to empty themselves quicker than most cars. We always say here that regular oil checks are key to keeping that car in tip top condition. As said above I'd be worried he's not maintained the car. And if it's been running and still no oil on the dipstick would worry even more so tend to agree I'd walk away. :(

I agree either the hand brake cables far too tight or seized pistons. But I'd put money on the Pistons being seized. :(

I do one each month at the New Inn in North Thoresby. next one should be on the 14th when I get round to booking it :D

Do a monthly meet over summer at the New Inn in North Thoresby if you ever want to pop along. Be mixed reviews on the pump I'd have it changed seeing as you're in there doing it. But I've always changed them on cambelt changes on other cars. And as you said £40.

Oh I've been paid in beef before still have a huge bit left in the freezer. I was working on a farm and a £20k Bull had used a haybale to climb on which someone had left in it's pen. the Young stud bull which was a beast of animal tried to climb it resulting in it toppling over breaking its legs, so called vet out to shoot it and a butcher to sort the meat out. I didn't get as much as Savage but I got a fair bit and it was amazing to be fair. So yeah you're missing out well and truly :D But could be worse 10 cigarettes lol, good job I can still laugh about it

Funny that about 9 years ago I once did a job for a gentleman who ran a corner shop. He wanted me to fix 5 plug sockets in the flat above. Thats fine he was my local shop so knew him pretty well. I went and bought all the backboxes and facias and sorted all the plugs out for him as they was really dangerous and he had small kids under 5. And no word of a lie as I was leaving thing ok I'll have to drop a bill off he offered me a packet of 10 cigarettes for doing it I made sure I got a price in first when I had to sort the pump out on his boiler :D
