  1. If your paying a company to respray it, they will match is as close to what your eye's can tell. But not sure what the cost would be, not cheap when I asked about having a keyscratch removed :( And with the alloy if it's not to bad try get some matching paint alloy filler and spray a bit of the piant in the lid and touch up with a brush. Mine need to be taken off and a full powder coating/refurb :( there bad. But will get it done soon as there OZ Prodrive alloy's so think it will be worth paying to have them done. £45 to have tyre's taken off few day's with no alloy's £140 to have them done. It's the few day's of not being able to drive her I can't stand :)
  2. Agree with the Above statment's :D Be about 20k for me then :D

  5. That's what the bloke said who goes shooting near me. said there is noting it can't handle and fast off road as it is on road. I've never driven one just got speaking to him when he see my car. And I would leave the pug sell it to do up the Forest :D
  6. I'm happy to help when I can mate. Helping other's let's me learn as well, that's how I see it :) And nothing get's my back up more then people moaning about other's car's. If its a mod, sticker's, engine choice, the list goes on :D And I have never owned a legacy.. So I looked for this hope this may help some what :D
  7. After speaking to someone about what we do each year, I was interested to know what your average mileage is. Subaru only not inc van's or the Mrs car :D Mine's about 15k year give or take

  10. I'm not 100% sure but I know a guy who take's his off road for shooting and he has King spring's. And yes there is STI version's They look great doing this. Like a ferry power boat :) Not sure about the shock's
  11. Here is what should happen if your Temp sensor has packed in MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) illumination will always occur Vehicle may be hard to start May blow a lot of black smoke and run extremely rich Engine may want to die or backfire in tailpipe Engine may run lean and increased Nox emissions may be apparent (Requires gas analyzer) Cooling fans may run all the time when they shouldn't be, or not at all when they should be Hope that help's it's from a code reading site for Subaru's
  12. Happy to hear it was an easy job mate. I like job's like that :D
  13. And as Jay has said not changed one myself yet. I had a full rebuild done on one of my car's, and had it all done at the same time And again like jay said follow it back shouldn't go wrong really :D Have to let us know how you get on mate be nice to hear your back on the road oil smell free :D
  14. Wow what a shame :( Just out of interest if you end up breaking her down what's your next car you intend to look at buying :D
  15. Will sort some out mate been busy as hell. Not been getting back until gone 10 then cooking dinner I've not had chance to get anything done(Anyone feel sorry for me yet) But will sort it over the weekend :D Not sure if it was Bmw with the Halo light's I 1st remember or Audi.
  16. My guess would be about £750 to £1000+ with part's and labour. I could not tell you exactly, I've never had to have it done touch wood. And in the UK we get ripped off so might be cheaper over in Spain :( But look's like you did a nice little number on it. If it was me I would get a few quotes to have it fixed then get quotes for a 2nd hand gearbox fitted Have to let us know what the price is please I'm interested to know myself :D
  17. Cheers You just reminded me I was going to do another video of it. So cheers again :) Looking at getting some new software called Centrafuse now but at £70 when I can get free software I'm really not sure will see :)
  18. I have some on the Blobeye daytime running light's :D will get a picture for ya ;) I agree with your statment
  19. I agree with Jay sound's like a turbo fault have you lost any power at all ? You have either killed or nearly killed it or I will end with some better news. Might be an air leak etc... which is where the oil might also be coming from, if there has been a blowout pressure goes out oil comes in causeing smoke and loss of acceleration. So would check your airline's too have to let us know how you get on.
  20. Your welcome. If you get stuck I will dig out some more for you to try. But they have been pretty good. some bit's more thne I would have wanted to pay. But they have it so what can you do :D
  21. Yeah I agree think you answered your own question their mate :( Well hope it's nothing too big to repair. have to let us know what it was when you find out. But would think the final bill will not be cheap :( sorry to say.
  22. Hi welcome to the forum's It could be many thing's from a clutch problem to the gearbox. Might want to try yourself, adjusting how you select reverse, try do it slowly and let the clutch out slowly that sort of thing. Adjust the reverse cable. Change of good quality gearbox oil not sure it will help, better if they sort of crunch into gear but you never know. But you might need to take it to a garage they maybe able to repair the reverse gear linkage or syncro. Or might need a new gearbox. If that's the case would say a 2nd hand one would be cheaper. I'm not sure if anyone else on here has had the same problem that might be able to help you out more then I can. But would try the few thing's I put to start with, hope it help's in some way.
  23. I would say do it. Just for turbo kick's :D
