  3. Ooh I've started something now [emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I imagine the new system will know if the fuss is pulled rather than gps signal lost Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Easy solution is put a piece of aluminium foil or fine mesh over the gps sensor and you've vanished of radar. My mate does this with his works van when he wants to pick things up at the weekend even thought it's not allowed to be driven at weekends [emoji2] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I know, the full black box systems aren't anticipated for another 5 years or so. It's the eCall system that is the concern at the minute Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yep, the daily mail is kicking off becuase you could in theory use the system to send regular data if it was used wrongly. Insurance premiums aren't affected by the eCall system. If you want to avoid the full tracker system that is rumoured in several years time you need to be out of Europe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I've looked at this s bit more and it looks like its a little bit of scaremongering. The device sends a text if you have an accident stating the cars location. The system isn't in constant transmission so it won't continuously update your location or speed unless they interfere with its operation to make it do so, which at present would conflict with UK data protection law. Not that it's impossible to continuously track with this system, it's just not set up that way as standard The eCall devices will be fitted to all new cars from October 2015, this is like the system in Mercedes where it automatically calls emergency services if the airbags deploy or you press the emergency button on the dash. Only then does it use the info it has to send the cars location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Technically the data that these boxes hold is your data, there would need to be a change in legislation or you'd have to authorise its use by any party. So in theory the insurance company could only use it for what it was intended. The police would need to obtain it through legal channels or upon your request. Data protection would prevent this info being used for the purposes you described. At Least that's how I understand the law to sit now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Was that the man with the thick rim glasses and a long brown mac that told you that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. haha, forgot about the rabbit. here's the knights that say Nee
  12. i can see anyone who drives a car voting UKIP if this is coming. hardly fair that those that drive legally and often in new cars have this but those who are uninsured or illegal will drive older cars that don't have it also how much does this crap cost to put in the car and will I have to pay for it, might actually be cheaper to pay the extra premiums than to pay £2k extra on a car for this stuff to be in it
  13. I prefer search for the holy grail, and the knights that say Ni Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. No go for me tonight. Also I did a flyer lap on the test track 1:21.45 not sure if that's fastest but if it is can you pop it up for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Image quality is much better on original file, I think YouTube compresses it a bit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Only problem with these type of apps is they cause iPhones to over heat and shut down. I had witness for mine and it would be fine for an hour, after that it'd just throw up a temp warning and shut down Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I know, can't say what I called him, but I imagine you're able to guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. It's actually 2:0 if you look back I hacked off a vectra earlier this week [emoji2] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Well here is my Nob of the day, having followed this chap in his silver BMW for a while and being held up while he did 45mph on a 4 lane carriageway, I decided to overtake, sensibly and safely. I then drove off and left him behind thinking nothing more of it. He on the other hand must have got his !Removed! in his hands about being overtaken because at the next roundabout there were road works and everyone else including the 2 cars behind me just drove around and were sliding into the available lane. But no, Mr Nob decided that he was going to race around the inside of the roundabout and pretend nobody else was on the road, mainly me. Well fine if that's your attitude I'm now going to point out to the whole world that Mr Nob who drives a Silver BMW Registration CP03LSZ with a fake MSport badge on the back presumably because he's a poor nob and really wants an M3 but can't afford the insurance that you're a nob. Feel free to ridicule this sad pathetic little man. here's the video, sorry there's no sound as I've removed it, Youtube don't like expletives and to be honest much of what I called him is probably very offensive to just about everybody! And relax :D
  20. Well just got back from Manchester on a wasted journey but it's sunny so hey ho. Had a nob try and take the front off the car. Has new HD camera in car so will post on later on new bit, with his number plate so if he ever searches he'll be able to see what a nob he was. I think he had his !Removed! in his hands because I calmly and safely overtook him earlier whilst he was dawdling along a 4lane carriageway! Go figure (and yes it was BMW with a fake Msport badge, loser! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. So many jokes, so little time [emoji39] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I'll be on forza for an hour or 2 if anyone wants to turn a few laps. It's 7pm now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The problem with having a focus or fiesta RS or ST is whenever you speak to anyone you have to say "I have an ford fiesta" or "I have a ford Focus" at which point the other persons eyes glaze over Also with owning a focus or fiesta you always run the risk of someone saying "my nan had one of those" You can add as many letters as you like its still a ford and it's still a fiesta or focus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My wife never let's it get to her, but on this day the red mist descended! Me I just tend to let people get on with things and I'll just make life difficult, if an !Removed! wants to overtake you on a busy or twisty road, he will. I tend to just let them. These days we just report them. My wife reported a guy in a courtesy car yesterday, overtook her on a mini roundabout by driving the wrong side of the roundabout and then cutting her up, then 100m later pulled onto a petrol forecourt. We has words then reported him to the accident repair centre where he got the courtesy car from. I wonder how he ended up in a courtesy car, maybe driving like an Pratt. Also saw a great window sticker the other day in the back of a camper van. Based on the baby on board signs. It said: "Child on board? Then don't drive like an tw*t!"
