XV Aircon Regassing
http://www.ior.org.uk/app/images/pdf/Refrigerant%20loss%20system%20efficiency%20and%20reliability_%20David%20Bostock.pdf Page two shows the table under which a repair must be carried out on a leak. Your vehicle comes under other appliance. If you've lost more than 15% per year about 45% over 3yrs. (About 200g of gas) then it's a warranty fault they have to repair under this Act. Don't get caught paying for the gas if you've lost more than this.

XV Aircon Regassing
There is a maximum permissible loss per year. I think it's 15% if you've lost more than that then is a fault under warranty. You shouldn't have lost all your gas in 3 yrs. our dealer sent it too a specialist and they didn't find the leak. You should get a regas pretty much straight away. There's no order needed unless your dealer is gearing up to do it all themselves, most dealers outsource.

Just use a hair dryer to heat up everything first it'll be fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Don't not use your Aircon, worst thing you can do is not use it unless it's hot, will increase the risk of faults and leaks developing and therefore increase the rate at which you'll lose you gas. An Aircon guy told me it should be used all year around to keep it in good order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Spare Wheel for XV
There's a couple of people who have got spare wheels, I haven't bothered to to be fair. For the very rare time I have a puncture I'll just use the filler. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Well my wife's Aircon is finally being fixed. After arguing for 2 months that it wasn't just that it needed a regas. The dealers took it to a specialist Aircon company who extracted the remaining gas (all 50g of it, should be 500g) and carried out a pressure test by introducing a vacuum into the system. No leaks, so they regassed it with £250 worth of gas. All worked fine. Dealer completed the service and decided just to check the gas was ok, it'd lost 200g of gas in about a day and a half. Now I'm no expert but why would you do a negative pressure test on a positive pressure system to see if it leaks? Anyway, they've finally found the leak and agreed that it's a warranty repair so I won't have to pay for the gas. so be warned everyone, if your car was built 2013 onwards your Aircon regas is going to be £200-300 not £50-60 as used to be.

new owner here!
There aren't many about to be fair, to put it in perspective in the UK, Nissan sell 40,000 qashqai a year, Subaru sell around 3000 XV. I see more Porsche and Mclarens than I see XVs I think as me and the wife both have XVs we own over 50% of the XVs in Stafford! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do to your XV today???
I didn't mask the middle I just sprayed over, it actually cut nicely around the centre which was handy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do to your XV today???
Looks good, just out of curiosity, did you spray the whole grill or just the chrome, I sprayed the chrome and peeled off around the chrome bits as I'd masked it off. The plastic and the dip look the same to be fair.

What did you do to your XV today???
Looks great, I definitely think no chrome looks better. It's a bit fiddly around the front badge but worth it I think. I'm loving how mine looks now. I like the red badge on yours I wondered about black with white stars but I think I made the right choice. None of it is permanent so if change my mind it's no drama Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do to your XV today???
Because I'm soooo busy at work, (NOT! Basically just sitting at home with nothing to do while I wait for my notice period to end) I'm giving the XV a load of TLC. having blacked out the chrome and treated her to new white badges the other day, I've today spent my working day (lol!) washing, waxing, hoovering, interior detailing, the full nine yards, even tyre blacked her. Looks stunning now, so much so that I'm tempted to just drive somewhere nice and get a couple of good photos in the sun. sadly though the wife has also cottoned on I'm not too busy and has given me a list of wife work I can do rather than "play" with my car 😩

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Has that changed since Dec 15? They stamped my book then Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think it's a programme of change, none of our dealers have used stamps since early 2014. I just get the service checklist and save that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
All the dealers now have electronic stamps, they're recorded at Subaru UK, no stamp in a book anymore. I keep the receipts and the service checklist/vehicle report and put that in my vehicle log. regardless of whether they did a free service they should complete a checklist and a vehicle condition report. This should tell you how much wear on tyres brakes etc. The checklist will tell you what they did. Ask them for this and file away as a record. My dealer didn't give me anything and I went and requested it they did give it to me.

It looked crap with the blue badges though, especially after I'd dechromed them. They look alright on yours because you left the chrome surround. I figured if you're getting rid of the chrome, get rid of all of it! [emoji23]

Those badges look great fella [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Wife isn't so sure, she thinks they look chavvy, but agrees that I couldn't leave it the original blue with no chrome, so she's not sure what colours you could have instead.

Dechromed the XV using Plasti Dip thanks to Dug. Also replaced the Subaru badges with the white ones I got earlier. Very pleased with the result to be fair, only 2hrs work in the sunshine. theres also a photo showing what it looked like in chrome. 10:1 the wife called me a chav at some point tonight after she sees it!

What did you do to your XV today???
All done, sprayed it all on the car in the end, just used a reel of automotive masking tape. Looks really good, I'm pleased with it to be fair. The badges look good in white Quite a transformation for 2 hrs work. I suppose you'll want to see the photos now then?

Spare Wheel for XV
I think they probably all do but the tyre centre often won't do it and it can be expensive at £130 a tyre for Geolanders. Either way if I had to do it and had to have the tyre replaced if keep it and clean it out myself to put on later or next time i have a puncture

XV Aircon Regassing
All you can do is turn on the Aircon set to coldest setting on full fan and run it, if it blows nice and cold it's probably OK. My wife's car has had a problem with the Aircon pump we think which may be what's caused the loss of gas. Cars will lose upto 15% per year naturally do you can expect to replace the gas every 4/5 years, though some lose it at a much slower rate than that so its not a definite period of time, some cars never have the system regassed. It's a bit of a lottery. Mine is a 2014 model but 2013 registered (only Subaru could something like that) but my Aircon is fine. a mobile Aircon specialist can do it all including a system check for about £200
