I use Tesco Momentum in mine (petrol) - gained an extra 1 or 2 mpg but use it mainly because it makes the engine run so smoothly and quietly - noticeably more so than your standard unleaded

meguairs ultimate compound, followed by a good polish and wax helps to gradually remove this over time - I do my problem areas every 6 months and they are looking better all the time

I'd say you just need to check the usuals...evidence of accurate mileage and deregistration on export and records to confirm regular servicing etc. Other than that your normal judgement should be used as if you were buying a uk car.
