  1. 2006? looks like pre face lift model (big fog lights and small mirrors) to me? but my be one of the last one before the face lift came out? any way enjoy :) btw; not sure why you bought a right hand drive vehicle to take it with you in your move to the left hand main Continent (France)...
  2. hi, as i like to fix my Sec Air Combi Valve / Pressure problem i have with my N/A MY06 Forester i can get my hands on an Combi Valve / Pressure of a Turbo engine. this Combi Valve is located at the passenger side of the engine; the one with the 5 pins plug. before i fork out £ i like to know if it will fit? problem with the N/A is that you cannot flash the ECU to delete the Sec Air function as you can do with the Turbo engine. so no blanking off in my case :( many thanks, bt
  3. removed the stupid tax disc, something we back home ditched in the late 70s...
  4. i use used gear oil for years ;) it's messy and uses lots of latex gloves and rags but for me it does the job
  5. still got the problem this morning so i might need another Secondary Air Combination Valve :(
  6. as it's getting colder in the morning the OBD II code for the Secondary Air Valve code pops up again as i haven't done anything to fix it during this summer as being to lazy :P so today i though lets get it sorted. so off comes the Secondary Air Combination Valve (passenger side) and took it apart. the valve was rock solid with no movements at all! so spaying the valve with mx3 from Inox (super stuff i brought from Australia) and cleaning all the other parts. lots of black thick stuff sticking inside the housing of the valve. back at my car, i put it in diagnostics mode (by connecting the green connectors) and connected the valve part, no movement at all so prying with a flatbat screwdriver to 'help' the valve to move and, yep, yep, some tiny movements so more mx3 spray and a bit of help and suddenly the valve start to move open and close again assembled the Secondary Air Combination Valve again and bold it back on the engine, still clicking, all good. but the real test will be tomorrow morning!!!! fingers crossed
  7. for the records; the MOT tester did switch the front fog lights on and off as i was in the watch area to check him out. the brake test was done on the road and not on the rolling ramp :)

  15. i'm not really a big fan of the L200 third generation year 1996 / 2004 as i don't like the diesel engine as i think it has a design fault. the later common rails are better.
