  1. If yours is dual mass I in my opinion would convert to a solid flywheel for one reason it would save you a chunk of money and the second reason being its just as good as a dual mass set up
  2. I don't have a style as such.My approach is !Removed! my clutch is knackered I better change it.I dragged mine out on purpose over a week,For one the weather was !Removed! and didn't want a cold back and be ill and the second reason was I was off all week so no need to rush.I could have !Removed! it in a day in my back garden.I actually enjoyed doing it.Today I had to do a run to leeds in an artic I got back to Manchester about 10.30 this morning my boss said do you fancy changing a radiator on a Daf cf I said ok.Ive never touched one in my life but I did it.I think its how you go about things
  3. I wouldn't say I was showing off.As soon as people hear the word 4wd and clutch it puts people off.Subarus are so easy to work on
  4. I might be having a 3 port soloneid fitted Wednesday as well
  5. I did mine in my back garden it wasn't hard at all.Just make sure you have everything before you start the job
  6. No problem I need it sorting Sunday for Wednesday morning 9am ! I have to be there
  7. Of the back box?
  8. This 400ml can will solve piston slap problems, restore power and so on.Im a bit sceptical about it to be honest http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Noisy-tappets-Piston-Slap-Try-AMETECH-ENGINE-RESTORE-400ml-Spanish-can-/261701383849?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cee9e36a9
  9. Im actually looking forward to it Clive lol.Ive got to get my back box fitted on Sunday its a Jasma back box with a huge tail pipe
  10. Im at Teg motorsport next Wednesday at 9am.!Removed! me Andy carr is hard to get hold of lol.£520 for my map and to go mafless for now.Things come up as they usualy do so got to go with what I can afford I can get extras later
  11. I carnt get hold of Andy carr now.I was surposed to get the address off him for the rolling road in Lancaster and the amount its gonna cost me.If I ring him anymore its gonna be like im pestering him and I don't want to come across that way lol
  12. Looks like im gonna be getting bent over next Wednesday for mapping. The money is gonna hurt my wallet :(
  13. Im waiting for an ecu to be delivered and it runs with the td04 turbo as well its plug and play
  14. My remap has had to take a back seat :( ive got a few things to take care of on the car first.Ive been doing some research as well on mapping and mods so I will keep you posted
  15. I will measure it all but im gonna have to get my mapping done first.Im on stock shocks for now
  16. So I would need something lighter and longer
  17. Ive also got to take into account my helper springs and camper plates.I may have to compress my spring to get all this on.Because at the minute ive no need to lol
  18. Hi Paul ive no idea what my spring rates are on the ones I have.
  19. From what I can work out Paul my old springs should have been 7inches when not compressed but there more like 6 and 3/4 inches lol.Ive been doing some reading on these springs and technicaly my 7 inch springs should be something like 5 inches when compressed which is not a lot but because my springs are tired mine are more sitting like 4 and 3/4 so there is no room for bounce.Im gonna be looking at 9 inches which will give me something like 7 inches in real terms. The only thing is I can only find springs with a rate of 75 lbs being the lowest
  20. Bit of an update.Fitted my uprated pump, also sorted out my snapped studs as well for the sender unit.Ive ordered some thermo heat wrap for my intercooler pipes for front mount. And ive heard from the Cusco UK dealer about the springs. Its gonna set me back about £250 which isn't cheap.Im gonna shop around for some longer springs with a softer spring rate because when I had my coil overs on and I tried to put some height on the coil overs the springs was getting really short and had no bounce which wasn't good
  21. Once a month! you better get your !Removed! in gear lad lol should be at least 2 twice a week
  22. Are you benifiting from the new norks lol
  23. My job for the day was sorting out my snapped studs in the sender unit on the petrol tank and upgraded my fuel pump.I couldn't get my old snapped studs out so had to drill new holes in the tank and fit new bolts with a big head on it and use jb weld and rebuild it all
  24. Swapping the housing isn't hard just needs to sit flush.I had a td05 in bits the other week.I removed the dowl from the compressor housing and clocked the turbo to stick on my mates lexus is200 lol and it works
  25. If you have coil packs are you sure there wasn't a very fine crack on the stem of it.I had the same problem I changed my leads and problem went
