  1. This might sound daft and im not out to **** on anyone but I have the front mount fitted and I find the pick up has improved dramaticly and there is no lag at all.Thats my opinion
  2. Did you replace the hoses your self?.Your problem now is if you don't have the restrictor pill is getting the right one for the car there is a few variants
  3. Whats the back up for lol
  4. I will google this now Matt.Is yours a W reg and are you yourself on a Y7 ecu
  5. Oh im gonna look at mine now.Ive just phoned a company who is down the road and he reckons he may be able to flash it
  6. I have a Y7 ecu as well sat in a box lol.I might have it flashed now lol but saying that im making the same figure as the uk 2000 model with out the boost
  7. Ive been replacing my old vac pipes with new gear a bit at a time and ive seen a marginal difference
  8. Have you looked at the boost restrictor pill to see if its blocked and cleaned the pipes out
  9. So your at 1.2 bar and that is factory .That must be making some power then lol. Im on 215bhp on std boost 0.7bar.
  10. So you was running factory turbo pressure. Is that 0.9 bar
  11. Have you tried cleaning the soloneid out at all
  12. And was the boost altered in any way Matt.
  13. Yes faulty bov valves are very common.I had a bad fault on my forester bov valve I did away with it and all was fine after. How ever I would have though the bov valve would have stuggled to make boost if it was knackered not over boosting
  14. Really. This might sound daft but when I went from the tf035 to tdo4 it was fine and we are getting good mileage. Was the problem on boost matt?
  15. I would start with checking for split hoses for air leaks I wouldn't get a manual boost controller to sort the issue out
  16. How big is the vf28 compared to the td05 though
  17. You carnt just stick a tdo5 on and expect it to work. There is a lot of factors involved,ie the health of the engine and will you have enough fuel to deliver for the td05.And you have to be really carefull with the boost as well because unless the engine is forged the std engine is like chocolate and imo I wouldn't run anything more than a bar of boost till its been looked at.In my experience I would start with a stage 0 tune consisting of oil and filter, spark plugs and a compression test.Spark plugs may even want upgrading to PFRB7 plugs from the PFRB6 plugs
  18. Cheers mate.My self and the missus carnt wait to get there with the kids.We already have a place to stay till we get on our feet.I have family there that want us to stay with them till we are sorted. My Aunty and uncle moved out there with my cousins in 1991 and had to start from scratch and don't want us to have to do that which is very nice of them.
  19. I handed my notice in today to finish at the end of the week and the company took the hump with me and said there is no need to finish the rest of the week off I will be paid my weeke in hand! !Removed! or what lol.Good job I don't have to work my week in hand at the new job! I start next week and get paid same week
  20. Well if yours is a front entry turbo then the one on ebay is a top entry. The only other tdo4 you could get is a modified one with either a 16/18/19 or 20g wheel which is called a hybrid.Still your car would need checking over because every car is different.Im not saying you stick a td05 on its gonna be safe or anything
  21. I got mine checked for safety more of a health check
  22. Is there any history on the engine and what was the mileage on it
