  1. Really. This might sound daft but when I went from the tf035 to tdo4 it was fine and we are getting good mileage. Was the problem on boost matt?
  2. I would start with checking for split hoses for air leaks I wouldn't get a manual boost controller to sort the issue out
  3. How big is the vf28 compared to the td05 though
  4. You carnt just stick a tdo5 on and expect it to work. There is a lot of factors involved,ie the health of the engine and will you have enough fuel to deliver for the td05.And you have to be really carefull with the boost as well because unless the engine is forged the std engine is like chocolate and imo I wouldn't run anything more than a bar of boost till its been looked at.In my experience I would start with a stage 0 tune consisting of oil and filter, spark plugs and a compression test.Spark plugs may even want upgrading to PFRB7 plugs from the PFRB6 plugs
  5. Well if yours is a front entry turbo then the one on ebay is a top entry. The only other tdo4 you could get is a modified one with either a 16/18/19 or 20g wheel which is called a hybrid.Still your car would need checking over because every car is different.Im not saying you stick a td05 on its gonna be safe or anything
  6. I got mine checked for safety more of a health check
  7. Is there any history on the engine and what was the mileage on it
  8. If on the other hand he has grey injectors than a td05 will be a no no
  9. The other thing is im on 440cc injectors and originaly I had a tf035 turbo.I then went to a tdo4 with a full decat set up and had it checked on the rolling road by Andy car and it checked out fine with no adjustments to it.He said it ran a little rich on boost but nothing to worry about. So maybe this Guy could be ok with a Td05 im fitting mine at weekend
  10. And local to me as well
  11. Think I will sell them on then
  12. Do you have a top entry turbo though?
  13. Hi Paul ive had a chance to look at my springs and when the strut is fully compressed and the spring seat is screwed all the way down im looking at just over 9 1/2 inches and when fully stretched im looking at just over 12 1/2inches bare in mind I don't have the rest of the best sat on the strut lol
  14. Im waiting on my td05 to arrive to replace my td04 and I will be sticking it straight on
  15. Its a straight swap as long as yours is the same turbo as the one that's coming off,ie front entry= front entry and top entry= top entry
  16. How come your after a td05 then Matt
  17. Its a Mc cains chip tasty as well
  18. I thought you had one.Yeah there seems to be a big craze for td05 turbos which pushes the price of them up
  19. I now have a Td05 as soon as it comes its going on ready for mapping
  20. I don't hang about.I want some Td05 action  Needs fitting before it goes back in for mapping
  21. As above im after a Td05 front entry turbo in good working order
  22. Ive always started my car with the clutch pressed down.I think that's just habit though lol
  23. One graph measures bhp and torque and I think the other was lambda and fueling I think
  24. It was like I gained something in one hand like the car being safe and lost in the other hand with the dodgy ecu lol.**** happens and im looking forward to going back.I will get the graphs up and ive got a short video. Its not the best video I must admit but you get the idea lol.Andy carr is **** hot at what he does
