  1. Their dyno only measures wheel horsepower, so 190 is a little higher than expected due to my mods
  2. 210hp and 221ftlb at the wheels... boost is up at 1.3 bar now, only thing that was holding me back was the turbo and injectors, which was to be expected! Drives really nice, mapped in some pops and bangs for me and variable boost depending on throttle position, not had a chance to drive it properly yet but a few 2nd gear pulls and the difference is certainly noticeable!!
  3. The remap has been done! The extra torque is pretty great!
  4. I'll post an update tomorrow! I'm hoping to get around the 270 mark... think i've done enough mods to get there!!
  5. Well... what I thought was going to be a 1-2 hour job turned into a 6 hour job... what a ball ache! First issue was a new nut and bolt I put on with the new downpipe was stuck after a single turn, so it had some movement but the nut would not budge. After failing with the hack saw I gave in and took the dremel to it. Once it was off i tried to see what caused it, looked like part of the thread inside the nut broke and got stuck. Anyway, started getting everything else loosened off, moved onto the last nut on the downpipe and again, got it almost off then it just became stuck!! Gave it an almighty tug (that's what she said...) and then it came free.... not the nut,... the !Removed! stud. Unfortunately I don't have a vice but i suspect it to be boogered... thankfully i had another bolt and nut that could be used in it's place. So finally got it put all together at 8PM and no leaks!! Best feeling in the world... pure relief, especially since I was under pressure as my garage had a cancellation for their dyno for tomorrow afternoon and anyone who could fill it would get 15% off, so had to jump at that! I now feel broken.... but excited for tomorrow
  6. Sounds good! It's a relatively straight forward job! Just don't overtighten the spring bolts
  7. Booked in for a remap tomorrow, they had a cancellation and offered 15% off if someone can fill it! Just need to replace my downpipe gasket which is proving problematic... one nut and bolt has jammed while loosening, thankfully there is a gap between the downpipe and the head of the bolt so i can get a hacksaw in there... thankfully it's a nice day!

  9. What Savage said... :D
  10. Remember to get new gaskets as well! Last thing you want is to fit it all and then discover it's leaking from the join... :D
  11. It looks like they cut out the resonator and welded in a piece of straight pipe...
  12. At least it wasn't your bottom end that went! Good excuse to go to some tubular headers! or get a set of standard headers for pennies :D
  13. A subaru that spits out money from the scoop?!?! :D
  14. Yeh induction kits don't have any resonators... My resonator which i removed had a small hole in the bottom of it as well, like you said more than likely for drainage purposes
  15. Have you put the box back on and see if it makes a difference?
  16. yeh sounds like a blown gasket... not overly difficult to change them! Get genuine ones from ICP... cheaper aftermarket ones won't last! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Cylinder-Head-To-Header-Gaskets-14038AA000-Fits-Subaru-Impreza-92-15-/350422824617?fits=Model%3AImpreza&hash=item5196d3f6a9:g:LRoAAOxyI5VSMzbM
  17. Is it maybe the resonator?
  18. Everyone has their preference when it comes to oil! I personally use Millers 10w40
  19. I don't think there is any point in heat wrapping the centre section...
  20. Welcome to the club! I doubt I could go back to FF, my previous car to my scoob was a Honda civic 2.2 CTDi... great car but very front heavy!
  21. It's nice to know that you can have performance when you need it but also get decent mileage... especially if it's a daily driver!
  22. Mine seems to do it after some motorway driving so the revs are highish (3k) consistently so the exhaust gets hot, so when i come to a stop it comes out of my scoop and the driver side of the bonnet... wasn't overly expensive stuff so will give it some time to bed in and see how it goes.
  23. Does new heat wrap smoke a bit during first use? I've re-wrapped my up-pipe as the old stuff was coated in oil and was quite smokey. Now I'm getting more smoke from the same area but a different smell as it's not oil anymore. I initially put it down as my slight exhaust leak but just got home and opened the bonnet and there is a decent bit of smoke coming up from the up-pipe
