  1. More than happy to rent mine from me... :D
  2. Ah ok... i've got a k&n one, it has the nut thing on the bottom... was gonna replace my filter when i was doing my rocker cover gasket but i didn't have anything to remove the old filter so didn't bother... it was only 500 miles old anyway
  3. Amazon have k&n filters for less than 9 quid... do they have some sort of super duper one?
  4. As far as I'm aware they shouldn't drink oil... if they do, potential problem! My scoob certainly doesn't, I know mine is the 2.0 but apart from that the engine is pretty much the same
  5. Welcome to the club! Lovely looking Hawk They do have a bit of a reputation but as long as you look after it it should be ok! Regular services, always warm up and cool down properly, don't use wide open throttle below 3k etc
  6. Welcome to the club! Yeh part of the breaking in process is to gradually increase revs in all gears for the first few thousand miles
  7. Bloomin' heck... he held that like a champ!
  8. It's the same with a lot of PC games... they put very little amount of data on the disc then you have to download the rest. MGS V PC disc only had the steam installer on it... no game data at all! So around 60GB to download the game. It got a lot of bad feedback from all the people with either slowe connections or 20GB monthly caps XD
  9. I saw that in Homebase as well! Would be hilarious if it had the burble...
  10. Sandals replied to Paulee's topic in Subaru Car Care
I waxed my car last year and a few days later the beading was all frozen... pic sort of shows it but it looked really cool in person
  11. That is very good! I did blast it home this morning... guy in an Astra was trying to race me, he only caught up by speeding through 40 zones... So when i got onto the motorway, I embarrassed him, hopefully it didn't have a huge impact :D
  12. Sandals replied to Naz's topic in General Subaru Chat
I got a prodrive downpipe with sports cat recently, fitted it... remapped... passed MOT without issues, was 2nd hand as well. It's a 200 cel which i'm sure is the same as the one you listed, so with a remap you should be fine
  13. Agree completely... I don't think Subaru have ever made an ugly STI :D
  14. Very nice! I'll check them out if I ever feel the need to upgrade to a newer model!
  15. Very nice! Update, needle is just below half a tank and have covered 203 miles. So at the moment, it's looking to be about the same before the remap which is pretty good, extra boost and better AFR has cancelled each other out mileage wise.
  16. I'm not a fan of roof scoops personally... but if you like it, go for it!
  17. My 04 impreza has isofix so i imagine foresters of the same age or newer will be the same
  18. How difficult is it to do? Mine is still whining (and has been for a few months) but is not getting worse so there is no play... I just want it replaced as the sound annoys me!!
  19. Good stuff! I'm looking forward to seeing how i get on, it was down to half a tank and I had covered 180 miles... it was mapped on this tank as well and I've been using boost a lot since the novelty hasn't worn off yet :D
  20. Right, filled it up with Momentum 99 (which my car seems to like now since I changed the spark plugs!) and about to commence a week of night shifts... which means sensible motorway driving and some short town driving. This is the first full fill up since getting the remap so will be interesting to see what difference it has made!
  21. Yeh they can idle quite low when warm... I just had mine remapped last week and he raised the idle by a couple hundred RPM as apparently the oil pressure drops with such a low idle
  22. Hopefully the end of this arduous journey is almost over! Fingers crossed for you mate!
