  1. Welcome to the club!! Very nice looking car!
  2. For a dump valve... I would recommend the GFB adjustable BOV http://www.scoobyparts.com/performance/gfb-tuning-products/gfb-respons-tms-bov You can choose between full recirc, full atmo or any combination inbetween. Going full atmo has chances of causing issues, mainly lumpiness between gear changes due to the engine running rich because you've dumped all the air. I personally use this BOV and I have it set to almost 100% atmo. I found after a while of having it I was getting some lumpy gear changes, so I tweaked it a little so a small amount of air would recirc and it completely resolved the problem. The spring is adjustable as well so if you modify or rempa for extra boost, you can tighten the spring so it doesn't open too easily. A very versatile BOV.
  3. I'm pretty sure 215 refers to the width of the tyre... I know you can go shorter than the width of the alloy and have a stretched tyre... but go wider? Not so sure... Personally, I would stick with the spec that are on your wheels at the moment, then you know you're not gonna have any issues!
  4. I use goodyear eagle F1's... fantastic tyres...
  5. And they were sold on ebay back in April!
  6. There are laws against noise but it is a bit vague.... https://www.gov.uk/noise-pollution-road-train-plane/vehicle-noise-limits "Modified exhaust systemsIt’s illegal to modify the exhaust system to make a vehicle noisier after it has been ‘type approved’ (checked it meets environmental and safety standards). The police can also take action if your vehicle’s silencer doesn’t work in the way it was designed or if you’re driving in a way that creates too much noise."
  7. That's a nice torque increase!! I still haven't had a chance to clean my IACV... weather has been too miserable the past week!
  8. Probably just the same as the impreza... behind the glovebox!! My A/C doesn't smell musty anymore... happy days!!
  9. Replaced my cabin filter... think it was needing it!!
  10. Nice!! Coincidence that the garage that I use just posted this on their Facebook!! https://www.facebook.com/HQgarage/posts/999233853469294
  11. Another member has said this in another thread: "Also have a look at the butterfly which the throttle cable goes to, mine was sticking and causing it to rev between gears and sometimes on idle. Simple WD spray and a clean up. Mystery_Machine your car looks outstanding." http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/15979-revs-increase-when-changing-gear/
  12. I doubt it's your BOV... My revs have been jumping between gears with both the standard recirc valve and my GFB blow off valve (regardless of spring adjustment)
  13. Checked completed listings on ebay and i saw a few go for around 100 + postage (includes pipes) so max i can offer is £125 posted.
  14. Didn't realise they were that expensive... I'll pass thanks!
  15. How much for the intercooler posted?
  16. If a back box from a turbo model would fit (2.5" bore) then you will have no problems at all, certainly when i looked at pictures they certainly seem to look exactly the same! Just need to confirm bore size
  17. I can see why you're getting confused... Scoobyworld have them listed as 2.5" bore (same as turbo models) then ones on ebay are listed as 2.25"... Doing some googling to find out if a turbo model back box would fit... where about in Scotland are you?
  18. Maybe your IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) needs a clean... i know mine does as sometimes my revs jump between gear changes, my replacement gasket for it as arrived just haven't got around to doing it yet!! http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=781242
  19. Welcome to the club!!
  20. Can you throw up a pic? I want to see how my old exhaust looks on a classic :D
  21. I went for the GFB one because it is adjustable between recirc and atmo... I've noticed no difference being on 100% atmo compared to my old standard recirc valve. Just your luck I suppose
  22. This has been reserved.
  23. I did mate thank you!! Dunno how easy it is as I've never done it, read on other forums that people have heated up the third hanger to bend it around to hang... or not even use it at all (some have cut them off completely since the exhaust is not heavy), again... only what I've heard. And yes, the exhaust is still available!
  24. Yeh i paid £360 with hastings direct this year which i thot was very good, includes my mods as well... (I added the mods during renewal time so I got them added for free!!)
  25. +1 for the WRX club... :D
