  1. Yeah think the mapper did a good job as it still averages 26.7mpg when drove sensible and is like a standard car.when you put foot down its a diffrent car, plenty power in any gear from any speed,so am well happy with it [emoji3] Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  2. welcome to the club, always good to see more hatch owners,i had 07 wrx hatch and now have 08 wrx hatch,as @Tidgy said dont put crap petrol in it i allways use shell vpower,a good easy upgrade is a good aftermarket panel filter, regualar oil changes wont hurt it,if your going to upgrade power at all i would concider upgrading the intercooler as its a week link on the wrx and wrx's,very small and very thin and the end caps are plastic and bonded on and can leak.if your not good with a power polisher then may pay to have a profesional give it a good polish, nice car by the way
  3. if you dont mind inporting from japan then these have the brake ducts. https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/22012 carbon brake duct https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/22013 FRP brake duct
  4. the lines make more sense now, cheers mate

  6. ok bad light stops play,so these are the 2 graphs i got with car,so if anyone can explain what their for either flywheel or wheel hp or torque, but hopefully will get new graphs over winter, been talkin to a guy i follow on youtube about his car mods and hope to get bit more power out of mine as you can never have to much power
  7. Thats dedication updating the forum from under the car. Yep just takes allday to do a hour job though [emoji3] Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  8. I will have a proper look when i go in house am laid under car at minute.as far as i no the top is hp before the remap and below is after the map,i think i have another garaph for torque as well. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  9. Thats her way of telling you to start opening doors for her 😃 hope you didnt get 2 much damage Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk

  11. Jay the longlife exhaust is ok but guess it depends on what your after noise wise,it has a fairly quiet noise to it when driving steady and a nice growl when you get right foot heavy.i think most people say the td04 turbo is at its limit at around 270bhp but dont quote me on that, lots people on here with more noledge with the turbo then me will give you info on that, personally i would say if you can afford it then get a bigger turbo,i had a 07 wrx hatch before with tdo4 standard (i have a build thread on here for that as well if you wana check it out) but this bigger turbo transforms the car, guess the remap helps that as well, this is 320bhp at the minute, but looking to get it a bit higher other winter.it was remap't by tuning developments in warrington. here's a link to their web site http://www.tuningdevelopments.co.uk/ if you still have standard intercooler i would look into changing that as its not best intercooler on these, tiny thin thing and the end caps can leak with being plastic,i would keep the panel filter its better then the induction kit, their more for people who want the look of them and extra noise, but if you fit a front mount cooler then you have to have 1 as airbox has to come out to run pipeing.,change exhaust, decat it or sport cat,and build car up as you go from their.mine decated so sould be fun when mot comes around again and here's my graph
  12. its just for the looks mainly mate, had a couple subarus with front mounts and allways liked them, but want a change, something diffrent to look at in engine bay,i follow a guy from america with a 400bhp wrx hatch with the verticooler on and i like the look of it and no its up to what i need, only down side is i can only find the grimmspeed or verticooler in usa which means inporting it,so undecided as of yet what to do.
  13. Try a desebell reader app Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  14. @xander or8 mate dint think i had seen you on for a while.yeah the vf52 makes car a diffrent animal, give it a nice punch of power when needed but still average about 26mile to gallon.this front mount will probly be for sale when i decided what to change it for. @Jay48 yeah the tien spring dont really feel any diffrent from the stock 1's just drops car down a bit so car still a bit 2 soft and rolly so coils will be much better. 15. well so here we are again, project thread,my car is a 08 wrx hatchback. mods on car so far VF52 turbo RCM340 fuel pump front mount intercooler AEM cold air intake GFB responce bov perrin short shifter longlife full 3inch decat exhaust tien lowering springs. so the dark cold days of winter are coming so its nearly time to shut the garage door if i had 1 lol and get the spanners out, couple things i want to change on the car are thinking about changing the front mount intercooler for a big grimmspeed top mount or a prosses west verticooler. would like to change lowering springs to some coils as car still sits with nose up a bit. looking for some brembos front and rear if i can find some from a hatch sti. done couple things to car since i got it,so far i have colour coded the mirrored panel between rear lights and de wipered the rear and fitted my prosport boost gauge,so thats it so far, here my car
  16. have you check't inside the caravan fridge for eggy smells but on a serious note, when the caravan is coupled up is the rear off car weighted down, wheels rubbing,is the smell only when you reverse caravan or when you reverse with out caravan,if only when caravan is coupled up i would say its not car its coming from caravan.
  17. allways liked the noble M12 can grab 1 for about 35k or just over the 50k if you wanted the m400 model
  18. its a steal at the price, was at mine other week its a lovely car,if i had not just got the hatch i would have been very tempted at it.
  19. defo been colder today,am not that worried about it now i have been reading about it and what people have said and i dont give it full beans that often,i do plan some more mods to the car other the winter so will be having another remap done as well so will tell them it did it at the time so they can do what ever they need to do to stop it doing it again, was just bit worrying at time how it abruptly cut the power felt like it had broke at time, and with just fitting the boost gauge i just wondered if that could have made any changes to it.
  20. @Piggysniffer tuning developments in warrington, dont no when it was done though as it was already map't when i got the car.
  21. old thread but looks like i may have developed the same problem on my 08 wrx,car has been great till on way home today,i have gave car full beans a few times before to blow cobwebs out of it and no problem but today after my 56mph M1 speed in road works i came onto bypass i decided to give it a bit of boost thats when at about 5000rpm it decided to try making me head but the steering wheel,i thought oh this is not good i have killed it,but still drove home nice and steady, but engine managment light on,cruise lght flashing and abs flashing at me,so code reader out and it was P0244,read about it then deleted coded and when for a blast,5 full beans blasts all ok,6th blast and did it again, the 1st 5 times it would just boost to just under 1.4 bar but 6th it went a bit higher and put coded up,i fitted a prosport boost gauge at weekend, could that have changed how its boosting.
  22. Not the best pictures mate.but hopefully help you.taken from rear of car.1 the plate for jack on lower wishbone and second is the channel runnin down car that is what i put axle stands on. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  23. Dont hurt to ask mate.allways someone to give advice.best i can say dont jack it on sills or floor of car.if it looks solid nice thick plate then sould be ok to jack.thats why i use that nice thick plate.i'll take a better picture in mornin if you need it as am fittin mudfaps as well in morning. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  24. Its the plate were the wishbone attach's to the car its were the footwell is just behind the rear of the front wheels. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  25. Does that run down car like a chanell if so thats were i put the jack stand if its what i am thinking of. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
