Seems to be problem at after problem at the moment , Just recently my steering wheel has started to shake/rattle or juddering in my hand when i get to high speeds on dual carriage ways or motorways and it won't generally stop till i slow to near enough a halt and then start again once i reach a high speed , if i stick to city driving its fine its just the higher speeds 

     

    Steering wheel is an omp racing wheel but thats been in for a while now I've checked all the screws and it is secure , the wheel itself doesn't movie at all forward or back its something internal having an affect to make the wheel feel like its shaking 

     

    Got to do a big drive tomorrow back home to cumbria and its going to be a pain all the way so was wandering if anyone knew the problem?

I'm after a new interior for my classic 94 wrx which is the first interior not the one on the later classics I've found a nice interior but the door cards are the ones for a later model , I know the overall shape of the doors are the same but the inside door cards seem to be different shapes for the switches and handle does anyone know if they will fit???

  3. So I've been driving my new impreza for about a week now and loving it but there is a problem with the locking and a few electrical things 

     

    The key will only lock the drivers door all others have to be locked from the inside individually and no light flashes when it is locked 

     

    the heater will come on and off randomly :s 

     

    the door open light will come on and off randomly 

     

    the usb charger will come on and off randomly 

     

    Don't know much about the classic am still a learner when it comes to subarus so does anyone know what could be causing these problems its getting pretty frustrating now .

Finally got my new scooby ready to drive yesterday when i went to lock it with the remote the light flashed but it did not lock , when i lock it manually it only locks the drivers door so to lock my car i have to climb over all the seats and lock each door from the inside which is a real pain!

     

    The car has an old Clifford locking system

     

    don't know whats gone on here if anyone has any ideas or has experienced this problem please let me know 

  5. Time has come to sell on my 1.5 R impreza its an 08 its done just 45,000 miles

     

    seen this going on eBay between 3 an half to 4 grand and mine is by far one of the best I've seen for miles plus all the extras i have added 

     

    .full carbon bonnet 

    .carbon pillars

    .sti interior

    .rear parking sensors

    .alloy wheels

    .custom twin exhaust with burn tips

    .no major points on MOT 

    .cheap to insure

    .All wheel drive

     

     

    thats just off the top of my head , anything else you want to know just ask i am wanting 4 grand and can't move on the price but its a bargain the car looks and sounds fantastic , all photos since i got it till now can be seen on my gallery

  6. My classic impreza is an import from japan and shows up on all insurance websites and in the log book as a 2.0 na but i realized that this isn't the case and it appears to be a WRX , as it states on the log book its a 2.0 na what would happen if i did god forbid have an accident? 

  7. cheers for the advice by the sounds of things the general idea is that if i love it then it doesn't matter about how much it cost , my garage advised me to sell it and buy another in better shape but this one is special because it shows up as a non turbo which means i can actually get insured on it so i think for me i need to keep this  

     

    people keep telling me I'm crazy but i love this car 

  8. Well today the check over didn't go as well as hoped there was numerous small things wrong simple repair but then there was 2 major issues that i am waiting on a quote to repair , the exhaust has a large hole around the gasket and the big problem is it needs a new diff :(

     

    the turbo has been called lazy also and the there is an oil and gearbox leak 

     

    at the end of all this it needs remapped 

     

     

    All this aside the car is 21 years old (older than me ) and has done 95000 miles so what i really would like to know from any other classic owners or other experienced scooby owners is it worth keeping? how long could it last?
