WRX Auto Wanted
I see 2 classic autos for sale in the past year pop up. They certainly seem rare. Good luck in the search and if I see anything I'll link it.

Exhaust advise
Mine was flat against the donut. Wasn't ideal.

Exhaust advise
I managed to fit my 3" centre onto the standard cat before going decat. Wasn't the best fit and only just managed to seal with gasket. Was only temp for me so wasn't worried.

Bugeye problem
Get a sniff test done. That will detect exhaust gases in the coolant. Most common failure of head gasket on Imprezas are between exhaust and coolant

UEL sport special
I had an issue similar to that with a friends gx bugeye. Not sure how they manage to get them so out of shape.

Y reg turbo 2000 ECU question
Prices vary depending who you go with. I paid 640 a few years back. Includes license, dyno time and map. Not sure what the going rate is nowadays.

Y reg turbo 2000 ECU question
You will need to have the ecu remapped for the decat pipe. The air filter will be Ok. For your model the ecu can only really be done using ecutek licensed software.

Straight centre pipe requires remap?
General rule suggest centre are rear are perfectly fine to swap out for larger bore or less restrictive.

PAS fault, but which part?
I'm having a power steering fault at the minute. Really bad when cold. Steering will be heavy then light every 15-20° turn of the wheel. Pump has fluid and hasn't been topped up so would suggest no leaks. Belt is tight and voltage is reading fine so ruled best out. No extra noise from the pump to suggest a beating issue but wont rule that out. It feels like a pipe is blocked so the pressure builds up and pushes through amd the steering goes light again but then heavy again. It's always the exact same location of wheel turn. Until hot and then it's all back to normal. Don't want to go buy a pump and then have the cost of replacing the rack but I feel it's one or the other. Any help with my riddle will be greatly appreciated [emoji4] [emoji106]

Guess the coilovers
Looks like top plates are flipped to allow for Caster adjustment too. Older hks hyper d had purple top plates.

Guess the coilovers
Top plate looks similar to HKS coilovers I had previously.

Possible blown turbo
It could do if you lose enough vac pressure. Must be a mighty leak. Have the car running and listen from under the bonnet. Try to give it a little rev to increase pressure making a leak more obvious.

Turbo 2000 wheels
Offset matters a lot more than diameter at 16" and 17"

Starting problem
Almost unrelated but I recently had a maf sensor fail. I had a cel light 2-3 months previous but it never came back so didn't think much of it. Ruined my fueling and on replacing it, it helped but then needed a small tweak to get the original power back. Morale of the story I guess is sensors can partially fail without giving you a warning light.

impreza gt turbo gc8 year 2000 - sounds funny
Not tuned but a decat downpipe? And rest of the exhaust. That's tuned. No cat in the downpipe could cause you issues in future if you don't have it mapped. Could get overboost and fuel cut.

The future?
Charge points? There's 4 spots over at my local asda. Ikea lakeside has a few of them too.

Could be the exhaust knocking in the tunnel. Hold the tail pipe and give it a good old shake side to side. See if you can replicate the knock. If you have access to ramps it will be easier to see.

Thoughts on FreeSSM
I tried freessm. Couldn't get it to work. Think I may have had the wrong cable.
