What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Do the winter tyres make that much of a difference? 10 years of Scoobys and never had winters on. (GX, WRX, STI) Drove to work in the snow, drove home... missing the snow. There's a video on YouTube showong a forester on summer tyres and a BMW with winter tyres pulling up a hill. Not the most scientific test conducted but gives you an idea how well winter tyres do.

boosting issues
Won't be the pill if it's recently started happening unless you've changed the vac pipes.

boosting issues
It will drop when you change gear. Haven't suggested any money be spent yet. Running through the options. If plugs were going to be changed anyway best to let it be known which plugs to go for.

boosting issues
Are they the bkr product code? They might work but certainly not the best plug you can use. A local member had to change them out becuase the car just wouldn't boost right with them. Other things to check with your boost issue would be any boost leaks in vac lines. If you recently bought it, check to see if the pill is still in place. Any mods done to it?

PFR7B would be the plug of choice for you.

2000 reg Impreza? Classic shape? What plug do you have?

When were the plugs last changed? What year/model is it too?

Show us your engine bays
My old one. Didn't have the foggiest idea of how it all worked back then. Actually sold it because I couldn't(or even try to) fix the rocker cover leak. Glad I've learnt since then. Don't have a bay pic of the current one.

Value
For your shape which is referred to as a classic there are 6 versions usually written as v1-v6. Yours is v6. Each version has differences. Some are engine and some are bodywork. Then you've got all the special editions like p1, 22b, rb5, type r, type ra and not including imports. Really too many too list.

Value
I have an X reg, September 2000. Over double your mileage and 3 owners. The mileage and ownership will add to value but the manufacturer date doesn't affect the V6. Going back years when all the facelift and cross overs where happening then dates would matter as it means you're getting a different version of classic.

Engine stall when heavy braking? EJ20G - RPM drops as well as voltage.
AFAIK the brakes use some manifold pressure in some way (very limited knowledge about it but heard of it a while ago) If that is the case its more than possible as me ruined that it's a vac leak.

Value
I think most models change over in February and September. I'm not too sure having one of the last made standard issue models will increase its value against any other V6 classic. When it comes to value the main criteria are standard vs modified, mileage, paperwork and ownership. Previous work carried out also tells a story.

I have the POWER! Steering pump question.
Can't help you with the pump though I'm afraid.

Fuel pump advice for future mods
Ecu doesn't need to be mapped for a pump.

Boost issues
The maf could certainly cause your previous issues as on boost it controls most of the fueling.

After replace intercooler AF do i need tune?
I tried that for rocker cover gaskets. They flat out refuse to tell you what the part number is or what particular part you need. All about keeping your custom with them [emoji19]

Dump valve
The arguement for which is better goes both ways. Recirc: pressure is already built up in the intake and the air has already been monitored by the sensors. Apart from some cars not liking them the biggest difference is one goes woosh the other doesn't
-
Dump valve
If you go for a simple vent to atmosphere valve you will need to buy a blanking piece for the original recirc pipe.

Mobile Phone blocking in cars
I think the major difference there is you're talking about what you are doing to ground crew instead of talking to the wife about aunt Margarets new net curtains and whether you should be de-weeding the garden at the weekend or playing golf. If I'm ever called on the Bluetooth first thing said is "I'm driving, what do you want" (don't have time for pleasantrys) if it's not an emergency or a simple quick response then they get binned off and spoken to later.

Tyre size on 2000 outback
Going up from 215/60 to 215/65 will increase your wheel diameter by 10.75mm. Check your clearance all round the arches and struts. If you have over 11mm of static distance you should be fine. I'm not sure how much travel your suspension will have so you may have to double check if it will catch the arch.
