Welcome to the club! Fair few locals to you there. Nice looking motor and I'm sure it's been well looked after.

Hello, im not an owner yet :'(
Some imports are not declared as turbo [emoji6] I came from a hgt punto much in the same league as your saxo and I would never go back. The power delivery and road handling is something else entirely. Maintenance is pretty easy and parts are readily available. I just done a cambelt, water pump, air, oil, fuel filters, oil and plug change all parts cost £160

Yes! Torque is the answer. People gloss over it too much.

Yeah I know all to well about that. Keep bragging about my old punto everywhere else [emoji38] I never run on book figures. Real conditions never match that of a wind tunnel and rolling road. [emoji106]

help me buy my first subaru
My little old 1800cc punto is quicker than a n/a impreza. I couldn't deal with the embarrassment. Food for thought [emoji5]

Proud Subie Owner From Horsham Says Hi!!!
Mines on 160000 so no doubt it's lost a fair bit. My mate bought an astra vxr the weekend and I can keep up with that so can't be all bad. They run a 2.0 Turbo but have 240bhp standard.

Yeah in that respect I'm very lucky to know my mot tester. Been a family friend for pass 15 years now. I got the same figure in my head. Aiming for the 270 I'll be well chuffed. Even as mine stands at 211 it get lively when it can see the rain.

The specialist seem to run away from the competetion when it comes to remaps. There will be just a couple of names floating about for the different regions. I was the same with Duncan. I spoke to him over the phone and he gave me a list and advice on where to start with. So I bought myself a 3 port boost solenoid and have my decat sat here waiting. Just need a fuel pump and panel filter then it'll be a case of save save save. What sort of outcome are you looking for power wise?

Proud Subie Owner From Horsham Says Hi!!!
Really? How come? I'm the same building funds. It's not easy. I had to make a choice the weekend. I either get a remap or pay for my training that I need for work. Got the training [emoji20]

I've got my eyes on Duncan at race dynamix. He comes highly recommened at the minute. I've been to Surrey rolling road before too.

I just myself a new exhaust hoping to fit it today if I can borrow a ramp. I abandoned it the weekend when it started raining. I have a decat down pipe ready now but it won't go on until I have a remap ready.

It's really nice to be recognised. I had it Sunday coming out my road got a wave then we both went through the Dartford tunnel. Needless to say we made quite some noise through there.

Impreza gearbox and couple other bits
I have a TY752 gearbox that's been sat in my garden for quite a while. I can't comment on the condition because it has never been fitted on a car I've owned. I bought it as an engine/gearbox combo but only need engine. Also have the air con pump and radiator that I took from my car as the evaporator was tested and leaking. These bits came from a X reg classic UK turbo 2000.

Anyone know this car?
I love it when the truth can be found out with a bit of research. Good stuff!

Anyone know this car?
Beautiful car. I've always wanted a WR1. I know they have a specialist forum for wr1 which have most of the production numbers documented. Might be worth giving them a shout or browse and see what pops up. They also have a list of all the numbers and whether they're written off/cat d type of thing. Hope that helps a little [emoji5]
