  1. Me and you both Matt, why by a car like this and not use it for what it was built for ;-) This one did surprise me, I was low on fuel at the time and was a mixed route of A, B and motorway for the 30 miles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Well I think the picture speaks for itself :) Anybody got any better on a reasonable run? Darren P.s my normal is closer to 22/24, so not suggesting you buy an STI for the MPG :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Might be wrong but I think H&S did a lot of rally team exhausts in the past, so not your usual cheap build outfit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Although not as widely known as Miltek, the Hayward and Scott exhausts I've had in the past have been fantastic build and great classic Scooby sound. Good balance between quiet on motorway/normal drive and good classic sound when on the beans. Really tempted on one for my new STi..... Hmmmmmm. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Guess I better get it cleaned up and a bit of photo shoot sometime soon then ;-) No worries Gambit, I've seen how many threads you reply to.... ;-)
  6. Found a reasonably cheap device for updating TPMS to winter sensors and then switch back after. Seems to be used a lot in the U.S. I need to do some more research but Quickset TPMS looks like it fits the bill.
  7. No not yet... You got a link or is it easy to find? I've got to contact the dealer this week about the chipped paintwork issue on the boot sides as well as the standard rattle in the steering column/rack. Thanks again for your help, very much appreciated...
  8. Many thanks mate, really appreciate that. I'll look into the TPMS issue and check whether it's based on tyre rotation or individual valves. Hopefully something I can figure out :-) Thanks again !!!
  9. You are the man, just not confident to buy a set second hand and then find they won't fit the latest model STi I have. Been looking online for a while but real conclusive yes or no.
  10. Any idea if they will fit over the latest shape 2014\2015 STi brembo brakes?
  11. Hi all, I've been looking around for a set of reasonably priced alloys to use for winter (get them while they are cheap) and have seen quite a few sets of old STi wheels all correct 114 stud pattern, but not sure they will fit over the Brembo brakes. As an example EBay number 221781639035 is the ones I'm referring to. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Heard good things about Cosworth filters, and a few people mentioned having them on here with positive comments. Don't know much about RamAir. I'd go for Cosworth out those two ;-)
  13. Don't think Halfords will do Millers products, I've either buy direct (I live close to Miller Oils) or in recent years from Opie. They do sell it via distributors and shops, I've seen it stocked a lot at independents around Huddersfield where I live. As for checking seals then I'll leave that to more qualified people. When ever I've bought a second hand car I've changed the fluids and started from a known point. After that I've monitored oils levels and usage after that to judge if there is any leaks. Sure some of our resident experts will drop in.
  14. Lots of places around like ScoobyWorld and such, I bought mine from subarupartsstore which I believe is one of the main online dealers for Pro-R merchandise. I'm sure there are loads of people on here with good supplier recommendations. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I've just fitted the Pro-R / Pipercross panel filter to my STi, but have used K&N (with no issues at all, even though the oiled filters get warned against due to MAF sensor). Also used ITG in the past with no problems and good quality filter. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Can't go wrong with Miller Oils, highly recommended by my previous Honda specialist TDI North (did lots of race prep, race car builds, highly respected) and I also used for my previous Scoobys. Similar with Opie, they know their stuff, and have some good discounts on often, Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Travelled for mine as well, ended up buying from Birmingham for STI and Oxford for my previous S2000. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Seem a nice bunch of guys, spoke to them a few times in cafe down the road. Lots of nice VAG cars up and down the road ;-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Where about on Guinness Road, my office is there.... [emoji39] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Panel filter will be standard housing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I've always used K&N and never had any issues at all. Saying that I did just put a Pro-R (read PiperCross) in my 14 STi while its under warranty. Other good options from the past are AEM and ITG if I remember correctly. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Does anyone know of a YouTube clip or similar for the Hayward and Scott exhaust on a 2014/2015 STi ??? I'm really considering one but not sure it might be too much. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Forgot to say, no I wasn't the guy who wrote the TrueGrip article, but I know the exact one you're on about ;-)
  24. Thanks for the messages guys, really appreciate it. Week day nights are really hard to do, but i 100% will get to some meets and shows. Hopefully I also might get to some track days and see some of the forum. One quick picky I took the other day to wet the appetite :-)
