Recommendations for brake disc/pads
I have used Black Diamond before and found them to be a good replacement over OEM discs, given the age of your car I think the braided hoses option and a bleed through with 5.1 fluid will really complement the replacement discs and pads whatever you decide

New to Subaru with WRX
I found replacing the LED side lights easiest by going through the wheel arch also recommend upgrading the high beam to these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400380971959?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Before After As you can see in the after shot the light looks dimmer but take into consideration the HID main beam is still on and is actually as bright as in the first picture but the camera filtered it due to the brightness :D They have markings in the casting - if it is the VF52 it will have IHI on the casting and the TD04 is labelled also

Hii New Subaru WRX Owner
Wotcha and weclome!!

Newbie - Outback
wotcha and welcome - sounds like you have a great motor there so what would you have to pay out in order to buy something as good - there may be other places you could take it to not too far from you - I believe Scooby Pete uses a place Camberley way which may be a cheaper option

Hawkeye wagon lowering..
not used Apex myself however the damper shouldn't suffer too much as it is there mostly to stop the spring oscillating over the bumps. Running lower just means it is part way through its damping travel already

Sneak preview to Impreza Thermal Imaging
very interested in this type of thing - shows good places to have vents in the body work

Hawkeye wagon lowering..
IMO for that price look for good used options ebay, breakers etc as the quality will just not be there or wait and budget for around £700 these BC's give some damping options but I have never used them as a product so cannot comment on the ride quality http://www.scoobyparts.com/suspension/bc-racing/bc-racing-coil-over-set-new-age and here with some optional adjustment http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=39_268&products_id=1549 and the actual website gives an extra low option on the RA http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/applications/subaru-coilovers/subaru-impreza-gdb-00-07-not-sti-05/br-series-coilover-type-ra-4.html

Bang Bang Flames
it will be the dv causing it - I have never had any issues with dibble over flames in exhaust caused by DV's over the years - whenever they felt the need to have a conversation there were always other aspects of my driving they felt needed addressing, predominantly my view that the NSL sign in non built up areas was a recommendation
-
Exhaust swap
fuel pumps like most things wear out and get over looked - as part of some early subaru PPP upgrades they come with the kit so worth considering to ensure consistent pressure
-
New grilles
I dont mind either - silver to break up the black or black on black for stealth look - as you have already gone for some red trim mods I would probably go with the black

(CCC) Mega Deal for JUST £29.99!! WOW!! (RRP £43.95)
generous discount there

To sell or not sell that is the question.
we have another thread on here where the chap has gone back to his Focus ST - a short debate has followed - they both have their merits but I think it would be unfair to compare a more modern st with an older scooby other than 4wd vs 2wd
-
Bang Bang Flames
it is normal depending on what has been done to the car - eg anti lag or if you have a vent to atmosphere dump valve, these both cause the car to run rich and the excess fuel is ignited in the pipes antilag

New to Subaru with WRX
yes - better mpg
-
Bored at work... Looking at mods... :D
me too, not scoobynet breakers though alternate ones in East Anglia, ebay etc
-
Nothing exciting except maybe parking sensors?
yup engine bay please ;)
-
New to Subaru with WRX
great news - it will indeed be a world apart from the Navara - mind you mpg is probably similar :D

Hawkeye wagon lowering..
Wotcha and welcome Fitting cheap coilovers may drop the car but could impact the ride too much due to the aggressive / agricultural damping design. have you thought about fitting lowering springs whilst retaining the original Subaru shocks? have a word with these chaps http://www.scoobyparts.com/suspension/eibach/eibach-pro-kit-lowering-springs-03-07-not-sti or Tein option http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=39_271&products_id=1476

New to Subaru with WRX
Wotcha and welcome - I love a hatch me!! some specs - if it has the TD04 turbo bhp will be around the 225 - 230 mark with 0-60 just under 6 seconds - I think it was later in 08 or the 09 wrx's where they changed the turbo for a VF52 and gave it a remap which got power up to 260 odd and dropped 0-60 under 5 secs. So if you end up wanting more power there is potential there but look to improve the chassis and brakes as well if it is the earlier model as it may be a bit soft and wallowy (dont think that is a word but hey ho :D ) looks like it is a grill change - more air to your rad, which is good ;) keep us posted with how you get on!!

New to the Jap scene
nightmare - what a shame - quick call to the dealer should sort that :(
-
Exhaust swap
you should be fine with those mods without the map but it would be a good idea to get it sorted in the future as it sets everything up, you might want to consider an uprated fuel pump from RCM etc make sure you have a good pressure to cope with any increase in demand caused by the map
