  1. you never know - a bit of patience and a spot of luck and bargains can turn up in the classifieds from time to time ;)

  3. been talked about for years - not an F1 fan but it is about time they got their finger out and got events like this underway
  4. A solid start by all accounts - I do like the first car of your inspiration two but I am a sucker for Rotas :P
  5. should be just a case of unclipping them - wrt the badges, up to you but I would go with others stay with the styling but remove the badges

    Holidays

enjoy - you should have the weather for it, watch out for crabs in Cromer some of the locals are rife with em :D
  8. Wotcha and welcome - your model has a recirc dump valve fitted as standard is the forge item a recirc or vent to atmosphere type?
  9. looking good there - the cut down version definitely an improvement
  10. that number plate will discourage a few - good luck with the sale
  11. if you feel like it take some pics and post them in project thread - always useful seeing what goes into a job like that ;)
  12. It could and if you decide to do it keep us posted with a project thread - however it would be more for your own benefit to experience the work involved as it is extensive and will take the same or more money than getting a turbo model in the first place. The short answer is it would be better to go turbo from the start not convert an S model.
  13. covered well by all above - keep us posted
  14. What a great thread - looks like you have a real nice motor there and clearly you have been well and truly bitten - not such a bad thing and kudos to getting it through the SWMBO quality gate ;)
  15. Wotcha and welcome - those mods do make a clear difference I take it handling has improved ;)
  16. Wotcha and welcome - here is a buyers guide what to look out for. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1619-help-check-guide-buying-1st-subaru/ some basic differences wrx sti tends to be the older models wrx quick turbo car dependant on year 5 speed gearbox sti similar to wrx model but can come with six speed box, more power as standard, more powerful brakes, wider track and alloy components instead of steel used in wheel mounting gear there will be other stuff as well but that gives you a brief high level
  17. Wotcha and welcome Richie - yes it is a friendly bunch for the most part and we can see that reflected in this forum Also wrt your sig... or you didnt quite make that last corner and there is an angry farmer just over the horizon wanting to know who is going to fix his hedge
  18. wheel bearings I have found make more of a grinding noise CV joints more of a clunking / knocking noise - hopefully you can narrow it down a bit
  19. didnt want to say that - but as you pointed out front end comes off easily enough and it will be easier 2nd time around ;)
