  1. Wotcha and welcome - shame you are having these issues with what looks like a great car - it sounds like it has been sat for some time and now you are using it things are failing - apart from the scoop and the screwed wheel mounts that is
  2. I think they have been keeping a lid on his progress I cant see that he would wake up and be moved straight away, but it is news in a positive sense so still sending those vibes his way
  3. saves cost of paint leaving it bare metal

Lovely new motor - what happened to the last one in the end??
  5. Wotcha and welcome - only apology needed due to you not posting more shots of that motor of yours ;) We have a couple of members with the new motor and it would be great to compare and contrast with the US model in the real world. As Gambit has said whilst the forum was initially set up by a chap in the UK we are very much regard ourselves as inclusive so feel free to get stuck in
  6. mine was silver - surprised yours is black
  7. They really are desparate are they not? but to be fair I dont have knowledge (primarily due to lack of interest) to suggest an alternative approach
  8. try contacting these guys directly http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JDM-Subaru-GC8-Impreza-STi-Front-Carbon-Strut-bar-wrx-tower-brace-tie-SF5-Forest-/141321109160?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20e764fea8
  9. Wotcha and welcome - that is a clean look motor you have there, as Gambit said decent fuel will make it run lovely and when you service the air filter dont have one with oil, an oil free hi flow panel filter will keep the airflow sensor fine. but I must warn you with Subarus modifying can be addictive its a slippery slope but one hell of a slide, have a browse of the forum as we are fortunate to have members with some choice machinery and lots of different modifications
  10. That does look it is your pride and joy - very nice indeed
  11. great to hear you have got some cash on your hip now
  12. agree there - great ad but inspired by chemicals ;)
  13. just the job - nice find Pete!!
  14. running in - an exercise in patience if ever I have seen one :)
  15. thats why I was interested - it looks like a great job and obviously cost effective ;)
  16. Good luck hopefully someone can come through with something
  17. Wotcha and welcome - there are a few of us other side of 40 - I cant really see it as being a midlife crisis if you have always been into cars more a case of what JNG said re prioritisation ;)
  18. Wotcha and welcome - stacks of legacy knowledge on here, create a new thread in the best part of the forum you think it relates to and you should get a response
  19. Wotcha and welcome chum - they are very different cars you are thinking of but having driven both your current Audi and a 2008 Prodrive hatch I can honestly say you will be blown away by the Subaru in comparison. so the only thing I can say, as I appreciate the BMW has it RWD attractions, is take a test drive in both and see what floats your boat, tail out naughtiness or all round performance with potential of properly sideways action (not that I am am biased in any way )
  20. Id have to match the rear arches to the front but it is a nice piece of work
  21. Wotcha and welcome - yup we have a few bikers on here as well - I myself have an old 89 exup and a kwak 250f for some mx fun :)
  22. I think the legacy would be better for bigger mileage they can come trimmed with a higher spec interior, nicer place to be over distance, def worth testing back to back with a wagon
  23. Wotcha and welcome- echo what Gambit has said - in answer to your question nothing wrong with Turbo 2000's check out what Matt is doing to his, a real beast on sensible money http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/5124-uk-v5-wagon/ http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/6316-sti-wagon-spoiler/
