  1. You have an after market brake master cylinder support fitted so it may have to be routed around that the connectors themselves are push fit with the key on the top of the male connector fitting into the hole of the female connector
  2. your lad must have been at his wits end - thats the worst thing to say to someone - dont press the button :D
  3. that looks awesome the shiny bolts will finish it off a treat
  4. not seen one of those - does your passenger fly out of the roof when pressed?? :D
  5. Hi Mel, any chance you could do a video and post it as that may help with the diagnosis. is the noise constant or does it change with the revs, does it change when the car warms up? Has this just happened or has it got progressively worse over time?
  6. good approach - keep us posted
  7. I had no problems - however mine was not a Cosworth, there was a member on here from IoM who had a Cosworth and it was having issues - last we heard it was going back to the dealer for inspection - haven't had an update for some time now. fuel economy is going to be similar to your own but I would get a professional rolling road and map session done just to ensure no ringland issues will occur. Given the chance I would own a Cosworth hatch -
  8. really - now that is a shame - not good
  9. looks good - I can see Gem doing the same to hers after seeing this :D
  10. yup once a year or every 5000 miles

  13. also try MD in Gloucester, a head skim is also recommended as part of the work http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/5513-m-d-performance-in-gloucester/

  16. great news!! :)
  17. why dont you post an ebay link so individuals can go straight to it?
  18. Wotcha and welcome - got any photos you would like to share?? :)
  19. price per service varies dependant on the mileage oil and filter versus full cambelt change - there have been some issues with the STI sharkeye experiencing ringland failure due to constant high revs and potentially not using higher ron fuel - a remap, not done by a subaru dealer as allegedly their maps don't solve the issue either, will protect against that (£300 - £400) also going through top mounts (not a huge expense) so from my experience there were no issues and I really enjoyed the motor. dont buy this car with one eye on your wallet - the mpg is between 21 mpg normal driving around town and 35 on a run. services are between 150 to 500 approx as different places will vary do buy this car for a full on driving experience you will annoy porsche drivers - it put a smile on my face every time I was behind the wheel Pete will hopefully be along shortly with an opinion also :)
  20. Thats a good start - check a piece at a time
  21. yup you are going to have to re acclimatise a bit
