Timmy's WRX Hatch
Managed to get the GT1's with tuner wheel nuts and the N1 fitted on Friday! I must say the wheels have completely transformed the car and the exhaust...... Oh my sweet jebus is it epic. It is stupidly loud and really brings out the boxer roar. The only issue is the stupid delivery driver dropped the box and it has a slight dent in the tip but I will get it sorted by an exhaust specialist. Hope you like!

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Unless you cut the bottom of the airbox out you wont notice any difference in sound. Is your hatch on coilovers btw?

Thumbs Up to Admiral
This is just a huge thumbs up to Admiral for not trying to screw their customers. This week my various boxes of goodies have turned up and I was fearing the worst when the time came to call my insurance company up to put the modifications onto the policy. To my surprise it only cost me an extra £32 to have Prodrive GT wheels, exhaust system, coilovers and BoV added to my policy and they are covered under their modifications policy :) Hopefully this aging process is helping reduce the cost of my insurance :D

2007 hatchback wrx
This may fit...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-GRB-FRONT-LIP-SPLITTER-V-STYLE-CARBON-FIBRE-08-09-STI-HATCH-Z1730-/230933079915?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35c4af276b I thought it was only the rear arches that were wider on the STi so this would fit. I have just brought an Invidia N1 exhaust from the states as I had the same issue. Plenty of exhaust options out there and Cobra/Hayward & Scott seem popular. I must say im not a fan of all the gauges but each to their own! Only one set of wheels IMO suit the hatch and thats the GT1's!!

Brake & Handling Advice
Ok so i have decided not to go too extreme and I have ordered the Stoptech brake kit which comes with upgraded discs, pads and braided lines. I thought if they are good enough for a 600bhp competitive drift car then they are good enough for the daily!!! Also opted for the BC coilovers. I am now done spending money on this car

Brake & Handling Advice
I have spoken to Tarmac Sportz and they have basically said dont get the D2's as they are over priced and they arent value for money. They have suggested getting thr Stoptech kit which is cheaper than the EBC's plus get the added bonus of the braided lines. With regards to handling I am not sure what i want. As i said above im not really looking to track the car but i would like the wheels to sit better in the arches as from side on it looks like its on stilts.

Brake & Handling Advice
It was my intention to upgrade my WRX hatch with D2 big brake kit and a stage 3 handling kit, however I am starting to now have doubts whether I am just throwing money at it for no purpose! I have been quoted £4,500 to get all this done which is quite a considerable amount of money. My car is pretty well running standard power apart from a CAT-back exhaust system and upgraded panel filter. I am not really intending on going any more that 275 bhp in the future as this is my daily and i need it to stay reliable. I haven't put the car on track and I am not sure if I ever will (mainly for not being man enough) and secondly i have a second car in the making for this. The car needs a service which it will need brakes all round so what I am asking do I need all those parts or should I go for standard/slightly better brakes (EBC) and bin the idea of the handling pack? HELP PLEASE Tim

To dump valve or not too?
Go for it! I have just ordered a HKS SSQV4 with the purple fin and I cant wait to fit it! Hopefully this wont cause the engine issues which i keep hearing about.

I have had issues with engaging reverse recently also but no other gear seems to be affected. Could your clutch be on its way out?

Oil Advice
Dipped the oil and worked out that I had enough to last me for three days at least so brought the Millers 10-60 which is what the car was serviced with. Went for the 5 litre so I can keep a supply (just encase!)

Oil Advice
