  1. Its probably 3-6 weeks off. It all depends on how the testing goes. Im not 100% if the brakes are man enough or if the gearbox can take the extra 80+ bhp
  2. They are the radiator pipes. They are being covered so I cant burn myself :D It going to be very noisy even with that sound proofing!
  3. Its been awhile so I thought I would add some new pics now the front end is virtually finished! Exterior Interior
  4. Today is a big day for the handling: BC Coilovers Stoptech street pads and grooved discs Stoptech braided hoses and finally the HKS SSQ4 with purple insert! Car is also being treated to a minor service ready for the autumn!
  5. Full valet thanks to Meguiars (and of course the wonderful Halfords discount card ;) ) I also managed to remove the dealer fitted sticker in the rear window and the hot sunshine on Sunday made for a perfect removal!
  6. welcome to the club. I think i have seen this car near Waterlooville before! Amazing looking motor!!!
  7. We have decided not to bother with one as the faults with them are endless and potentially kill me financially! Now looking at a 2000(ish) Audi TT 225 Quattro but one that has had the pixellated dash sorted.
  8. Is Sundays meet cancelled now?
  9. So more goodies turned up today which completes the build for now .... So we have a HKS SSQV4 with the upgraded purple fin, BC coilovers and StopTech brake kit with upgraded discs pads and braided lines for all four wheels! Can't wait to have these fitted on the 11th
  10. You should be able to view it even though your not on.
  11. Video has been posted on my Twitter of the car on idle but it really doesn't give you the real sound! Search Timmyjk7
  12. Tarmac Sports sell this
  13. Ha ha good plan batman
  14. This would be too loud if you have kids my wife thinks it's too loud :( I'll get a better video and I will put it on youtube
  15. I can't load the video it exceeds the mb limit! Yea I did they were spot on. The car sounds like a V8 it's nuts but it may just be too loud
  16. Managed to get the GT1's with tuner wheel nuts and the N1 fitted on Friday! I must say the wheels have completely transformed the car and the exhaust...... Oh my sweet jebus is it epic. It is stupidly loud and really brings out the boxer roar. The only issue is the stupid delivery driver dropped the box and it has a slight dent in the tip but I will get it sorted by an exhaust specialist. Hope you like!
  17. Unless you cut the bottom of the airbox out you wont notice any difference in sound. Is your hatch on coilovers btw?
  18. Today the car is finally being transformed and I am having my Invidia N1 and GT1's fitted. I will post a sound clip of the exhaust later :)
  19. This is just a huge thumbs up to Admiral for not trying to screw their customers. This week my various boxes of goodies have turned up and I was fearing the worst when the time came to call my insurance company up to put the modifications onto the policy. To my surprise it only cost me an extra £32 to have Prodrive GT wheels, exhaust system, coilovers and BoV added to my policy and they are covered under their modifications policy :) Hopefully this aging process is helping reduce the cost of my insurance :D
  20. I need a narrow body version if this is still being done
  21. welcome to the club! great to see another hatch owner. I would say get a nice set of wheels, BC coilovers to get a good ride height and perhaps an upgraded panel filter and exhaust.
  22. This may fit...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-GRB-FRONT-LIP-SPLITTER-V-STYLE-CARBON-FIBRE-08-09-STI-HATCH-Z1730-/230933079915?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35c4af276b I thought it was only the rear arches that were wider on the STi so this would fit. I have just brought an Invidia N1 exhaust from the states as I had the same issue. Plenty of exhaust options out there and Cobra/Hayward & Scott seem popular. I must say im not a fan of all the gauges but each to their own! Only one set of wheels IMO suit the hatch and thats the GT1's!!
  23. Really nice mate. Go and get the Cosworth panel filter its a must!
  24. Ok so i have decided not to go too extreme and I have ordered the Stoptech brake kit which comes with upgraded discs, pads and braided lines. I thought if they are good enough for a 600bhp competitive drift car then they are good enough for the daily!!! Also opted for the BC coilovers. I am now done spending money on this car
  25. I have spoken to Tarmac Sportz and they have basically said dont get the D2's as they are over priced and they arent value for money. They have suggested getting thr Stoptech kit which is cheaper than the EBC's plus get the added bonus of the braided lines. With regards to handling I am not sure what i want. As i said above im not really looking to track the car but i would like the wheels to sit better in the arches as from side on it looks like its on stilts.
