  1. It was my intention to upgrade my WRX hatch with D2 big brake kit and a stage 3 handling kit, however I am starting to now have doubts whether I am just throwing money at it for no purpose! I have been quoted £4,500 to get all this done which is quite a considerable amount of money. My car is pretty well running standard power apart from a CAT-back exhaust system and upgraded panel filter. I am not really intending on going any more that 275 bhp in the future as this is my daily and i need it to stay reliable. I haven't put the car on track and I am not sure if I ever will (mainly for not being man enough) and secondly i have a second car in the making for this. The car needs a service which it will need brakes all round so what I am asking do I need all those parts or should I go for standard/slightly better brakes (EBC) and bin the idea of the handling pack? HELP PLEASE Tim
  2. Go for it! I have just ordered a HKS SSQV4 with the purple fin and I cant wait to fit it! Hopefully this wont cause the engine issues which i keep hearing about.
  3. Dont forget this Sunday is the first monthly SOC/Legacy OC meet. It would be great to see as many of you as possible and lets see if we can get some great pics for the site!
  4. still could be the clutch. It could have been faulty?

  6. After a few months up umming and arrmming I have taken the plunge and I have ordered the Invidia N1 "Street" cat-back exhaust and HKS SSQ (with purple fin). I will put some pics on when I have recieved the items and have had them fitted! Next is: Stage 3 Handling Kit D2 brake upgrade for front and rear Prodrive GT1's
  7. Dipped the oil and worked out that I had enough to last me for three days at least so brought the Millers 10-60 which is what the car was serviced with. Went for the 5 litre so I can keep a supply (just encase!)
  8. opie oils reckon the same as Halfords at 5-30W. I need the oil urgently as i am that low so wont be able to order through them :(
  9. Pete - Can you let the Legacy owners know that this weekends meet has been moved to next Sunday (same time and place) due to shows and F1. Thanks
  10. My hatch is on a 57 plate and on 70k so should I stick to the 10-60?

  12. Because of F1 and Japfest do people want to postpone until the following weekend??
  13. At the moment its standard apart from a panel filter but I am ordering a CAT back exhaust and BoV at the end of the week. Well I get the 15% off Halfords too :)
  14. I need to top up my oil on my WRX however I am confused which oil to use. Everything online (Halfirds, Eurocarparts etc.) says 5/30 whereas Subaru4You website who serived my car recommends 10/60. What oil do people use???
