  1. I have this in my impreza RX hatchback Clutch down Pull leave up, will go so far then will stop, pull abit harder and it will clunk into place Light will come on dash go drive on steep hills and have fun lol and same in reverse to put back to normal gear ratio I went to the royal Cornwall show last year was a tad late so got chucked in a feild which was about a 1mile away and this field was almost vertical, going down was fine as i used the brakes, but when it come to going home cars were struggling to get up the feild ( wheel spinning - burnt out clutches - sliding down the hill ) i put the impreza in low gearing and bam was up the top of the feild with now struggling at all :D James
  2. I'm doing that currently but I ride Downhill so my bikes fairly bulky and my mate has a similar size downhill bike and getting both bikes in the back is abit tight! if I remember il take a pic next time both bikes are loaded up :) I have a high level bike rack I used to use on my ignis sport but it just doesn't fit the Subaru right and doesn't keep tension unfortunately and id hate for both bikes to fall off have searched Subaru site but the one they say fits is £495! not inc any sort of rack lol James
  3. Bang for buck its never worth it ....... as above chassis mods are the way forward, someone may have an advantage in a straight line but 9-10 times they cant corner so loose all there speed! Coilovers - anti roll bars - strut braces - proper geo set up - decent tires and lose some weight all the above and your be laughing :D James
  4. Will consider tow bars if someone can point me in the direction of one that's hidden and can be removed for day to day driving :) Thanks Jams
  5. Hi Guys, I'm looking for a bike rack that is designed to fit my 2008 impreza hatch ( my car in profile pic ) Any ideas or suggestions ? no tow bar and not looking to get one :D Thanks in advance James
  6. get together a few more quid ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-STI-HATCHBACK-2008-MODIFIED-SHOW-CAR-FULL-SERVICE-57K-no-swap-/181885243122?hash=item2a59348ef2:g:ybgAAOSwwbdWGsIn or this 432bhp blob eye is lush ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-SUBARU-IMPREZA-Blobeye-STI-432bhp-/252124893165?hash=item3ab3d08fed:g:jicAAOSwFnFWDnu3 James

  8. contact a local motor factor and get a price for some new spark plugs and go off that, does seem pricey but ive just had my AC belt and fan belt changed costing just shy of £100 James
  9. welcome buddy! i also have a 2008 RX hatch until i can insure a sti hatch Stick up some pictures James
  10. Decent access is needed to change side lights without having to remove the front bumper and light cluster Major design flaw by Subaru ! 2008 Impreza RX hatch James
  11. Sounds an awful lot like a temp sensor fault! I've had this problem on previous cars. I went through 3 temp sensors on my starlet ( 128k miles ) James
  12. just be thankful you dont own a VW haha On a serious note .... when was the last time it had a decent service inc spark plugs - dizzy - ht leads - oil - oil filter - air filter ? worth doing that as every little helps being that its 320bhp im asuming its mapped ? it could be a mapping issue maybe James
  13. DC5 is an epic and one of the best fwd cars ive ever been in! would own one in a heart beat :D ohhh and we are all nice people here good luck with your sale James
  14. I can imagine its more for co driver purpose, id have a two gauge A-pillar pod all day long James
  15. Compression test it for good measure! boost leak somewhere is probably most likely though. As for a gauge why not go a little jap with it? in the glove box! i have a hatch to and if it was me id make a little box for the guage and screw it in where the space for CD's is or have it mounted inside the speedo cluster they are deffo a worth while investment! James
  16. Bumping this up as il be looking at doing this next month :D Ive emailed a few places but no one has got back to me James
  17. I used to stick mine on the speedo cluster, always over the revs as I didnt need to see it I wouldn't over think it, Subaru are just covering there asses so you can't sue them should something happen James
  18. Fitted my rear discs and pads in record time :D James
  19. Looking to buy some lowering springs for my 2008 impreza RX ( non turbo ) and unsure where to buy! any ideas? or advice on which ones are good, coilovers are a no go as im buying a house and paying for my wedding haha Thanks James
  20. This I would love to see!
  21. I feel your pain I have a side light out went to change it on the road where I live and realised just how much was involved changing it and thought bugger that il save it for when I have garage space! What a stupid design, its not easy on earlier Impreza from what I've heard so must just be stupid designers James
  22. Looking good mate :) let's hope one of your side lights doesn't blow In the next few days! your have to take bumper off all over again lol James
  23. Always had good service and parts from these guys before but ive just got my first order from them for the Impreza and thought id share with you all :) Ordered new OE spec discs and pads all-round and I was thinking ohh great mega money but this is not the case..... £150 delivered ( inc paypal fee ) i got 3 other prices ranging from £200 - 350 Company is www.id-workz.co.uk all you have to do is drop them email if its not on there site and they get back to you fairly quick Parcels are always well packed and you get tracked delivery ( well i have every time so far ) would recommend them to anyone :) James
