Correct way to Install gauges
You'll need a **** load of ptfe, some electrical tape, connectors and wire (preferably 3-4 different colours), tie wraps to hold cables etc in place, a little bit of patience, a swear jar, some plasters, a good selection of tools, access to the net incase you get stuck and 7 pints to reward yourself with afterwards. Uppipe
Shouldn't do really, it's a sealed system, so should hold the pressure to a set rating and then the prv will open to release excess pressure. Is it definitely the cap and not from one of the hoses to it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lid not on properly, not sealing or prv not working would be my guess! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oil pressure increase
Hi guys, noticed this morning to work my oil pressure has increased somewhat in the last couple of days and I'm slightly concerned..... Anything over 2k it tops out at 75psi when hot where as before it would be 50-55psi at 2k and be 70psi at 3k. Any ideas on the likely cause? Still runs the same, but I 'think' I can smell hot oil inside at idle stationary when warm. I say think because there's no visible leaks and I can't smell it under the bonnet. Any ideas or help greatly appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Holy MPG Batman!!
I get about 280 miles to where I'm about 1/4 tank and it costs between 38-40 quid to fill, that was twice a week nearly. That's with a k&n panel, pro drive y pipe and back box, deres centre pipe, 2nd decat and a remap. Tuning these cars saves you money! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

which to buy :S
A bug would make a more practical family car whilst still being plenty quick enough for fun. You should find something half reasonable for that price but i would image it would need some work. I've got a new age that I was doing 400 miles a week in, and it is a fantastic all rounder. Any classic you are looking at now will be at least 16 years old, and they can rust (but so can a bug). Plus the new age ones have slightly longer gearing and a bit more refined so aren't quite as thirsty. Drive a couple and buy the best you can at that price range! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

which to buy :S
What is it you want from the car? Will it be a daily or a toy? Does it need to be sensible or is it just for fun? What is your budget, what power do you want and why? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oil consumption
I check my oil every fortnight and was doing 400 miles a week (til I handed my notice in last week but that's another story), and in 4.5k I used nothing noticeable Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After my clutch pedal starting to sound like a breying donkey yesterday I've given it a healthy squirt of gt85 which seems to have cured it for now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The only thing that's blown up with my turbo so far in 9 months is my tesco clubcard balance doing 400 miles a week on momentum.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There's one round here, J15 5UM. Used to be awesome when the cars were interesting hot hatches, now it's on a people carrier with kids seats in! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

newbie looking for assistance with buying...
You could get something very good for 6-9k, I spent 5k on an honest but not perfect 60k blob wrx from a dealer nearly a year ago but prices seem to be creeping up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Headlight restoration
I used toothpaste a sponge and a bit of elbow grease, came up a treat! I think it needs to be a bit gritty to cut through the oxidisation but essentially any sort of medium fine polishing compound should work really Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Headlight restoration
I used toothpaste on my blob ones that were misty and yellowing.... Good as new and as it was the leftovers from the tube didn't even get a kicking from the missus, result!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Terraclean?
Done a quick Google and the development story seems pretty crazy (Canadian scientists and zero emissions goal), and claims to be a super refined fuel. Does it work? No idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pulled up at a roundabout and heard a horrendous knocking noise and my heart sunk [emoji22] Turns out it was roadworks and my paranoia knows no bounds. On the plus side I washed the old girl today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone used 'Revive'turbo cleaner?
I'm always a bit dubious of these products, another one that's common is seafoam. They look pretty theatrical when on YouTube used if nothing else! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
