  1. Sounds about right. My mr2 did that
  2. Better off exporting like savage said. Americans will more than likely buy it due to import restrictions. The fact it's being sat around for 4 years with manky fluids in it is gonna put people off. Had I not just been made redundant Dante I might of made an offer
  3. Oops quoted wrong post then lol my bad savage
  4. Hmm....leaving fluids in for 4 years can cause issues to my knowledge. Valve stem seals are probably gone by now I'd guess ( not expensive) can't hurt to give it a quick once over
  5. I assume it's a turbo? And has the fluids been left in the engine like coolant, oil ect?
  6. Fair enough to my knowledge all forged engines will make a slapping sound when cold for a few mins. Due to the clearances. Sound will go away once warmed up
  7. Someone will be along soon. But it will have a slight piston slap when cold. All forged engines do
  8. PPG conversion? As the standard 5 speed wrx boxes are cr*p can hardly handle 220hp of abuse let alone 330. IIRC anyway
  9. What gearbox does it have?
  10. I posted something like this last year. I was lucky to find one on eBay. There is a member in here who has a few spares lying around as I bought the door cables off him..Can't remember his name though
  11. Friend of mine imported a rx7 last year. He just paid an import company. They registered it for him and put an mot on it. Will ask him about costs ect later
  12. I had a issue with my immobiliser transponder in the key last year. Probably a long shot but can't hurt. Mind you my key was knackerd
  13. I think it should bolt in. The ecu however wiring it up could prove a PITA. Same thing happened to my audi ages ago but that's another story
  14. Reminds me of a bloke that used to come in to where I used to work. Looked like someone from emmerdale and you could smell odor about 20 ft away lol
  15. Burning oil maybe? Could be wrong can't remember but it rings a bell
  16. Im with stants. Cool idea but not my cup of tea. Used to own a astra van with a vxr engine got boring after a while.
  17. What fuel you running it on out of interest?
  18. Leftover oil in the exhaust for the smell? As for the running issues it could be made sensor?
  19. Not sure on that. A blob eye may fit but that's a wild guess.
  20. I only replaced mine cause I'm finicky like that. If you can get a decent one and athe a good price then go for it I say
  21. I think a few on here have. I haven't heard of it being a danger. Can't remember on the mot side of things but it shouldn't be a danger. Can't hurt to ask around though
  22. Can't remember off hand but it's a few bolts on each corner. Been ages since I did mine. I think there is a YouTube video on it somewhere
  23. I drove without one for 5 days while one was ordered. Didn't really notice a difference but then I didn't drive hard. Only replaced cause I found a cheap one
  24. Scrooby world is pretty good I bought a boost controller and strut brace from there
  25. Don't bother with those. They are cheap Chinese junk. Same with the Chinese turbos. I had a hks on mine. Quietish at idle yet loud when you floor it
