Yep that will be it I'd be surprised if you can't get a good used one for a few hundred quid to get it going. I had a look when i was looking at some newages recently, they'd gone bad too, not that uncommon. Fitting cost I'm not sure on how long it would take.

I'd want a good look under the whole car tbh. Emissions could be a number of things really. How much was it driven before the mot? I'd pay £1500 no worries if I had space to play.

Nearly as close as mine, not bragging lol. Only thing I would do is after the refill go for a local run and make sure you don't have any locks in the system. I did with mine recently. Car gets up to temp stays for a short while then jumps up quick. Always a bonus to find an easy non expensive solution. Hope it keeps going strong. Let us know how you go.

Ha true! Needs must mate. The new ones are a generic 'kevlar'. Thought I'd just get the package and see how it goes, can always get some different ones in easily enough. The current set are DS2500 which I find good performance wise (even from cold) but squeal in hot weather when in traffic.

Out of interest have you tried it in sport to see if it differs at all? I cant think it would be a gremlin just doing that but Im no auto wizard! Ha thanks, not for much longer! Baby on way so getting it back to stock lol. People know I dont need much excuse to spend money though.

Welcome! I assume you have a sport mode? If your in that it will be more keen to drop down. Depending on speed incline etc etc
