  1. Or an extendable magnet thingy might be easier.
  2. Id like to think of it as a 100BHP NOS Shot. Least that what it should be. But Im gonna go with Gambits explanation, less exciting as it is. Welcome . I hope you are enjoying your new Legacy.
  3. I had to have a hid bulb when it was in and was sort of surprised when he said they were 84 fricking pounds each.
  4. Dont think I can get there which is a shame, Id like to have had some raffle tickets.
  5. There'll be on Ebay soon, 'only light kerbing'
  6. Sounds top . Lots of information on here if anything comes up.
  7. Winner! Welcome. Looks tidy. Did it come with good history etc? Anything needs doing?
  8. So after my disappointing search for more boost on the rollers I decided to do the 'Telephonewire' mod that involves 2mins worth of work to re jig some vac hoses. I am now getting a solid 1.1 bar on the primary and 1.2 bar on the secondary . Hard to hear if there is any detting as all I can hear is induction lol buts is super smooth thats for sure. Booked in next Weds for a power run to make sure all the fuelling is correct. Fingers crossed!
  9. Got the car back!! Freshly cleaned injectors fitted, new plugs, oil and filter (again), new HID bulb (not cheap lol). Went on rollers but for some reason the primary turbo did not want to play fair so still at stock boost. The boost on secondary seems harder than before and the intake noise is mental! Dont think its boosting higher from what I could make out which is odd but need to check properly tomorrow because the light in the boost gauge packed up recently Original primary down pipe with cat fitted for MOT. Anyway, glad to have it back and still loving it.
  10. Still waiting for mine too!! been there for 3 days now
  11. D Do you wash and oil yours? Mine had a K&N when I bought it but it was fairly knackered.
  12. Very true! I went without a Japanese turbo for far too long! I do love listening to my primary with the windows down.
  13. Ditto. My preference is standard intake arrangement with uprated panel filter. I tried quite a few different types but have settled for a dry foam Ramair. I think your getting the picture now
  14. Hi, Id say water ingress would actually be minimal and should burn off harmlessly. Plenty of people swapped bonnets from WRX's on to their sports! Anyone else think why it would be an issue?
  15. The first placed Id start is someone breaking one if your struggling and dont want to spend a fortune. EG http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-2008-2009-2010-Breaking-Engine-and-Gearbox-sold-/321995698858?hash=item4af87072aa:g:FjQAAOSwHQ9WYDLy
  16. The short answer is NO you wouldnt. Only really applicable if you are decatting. Looks like a nice system though! Should sound really nice.
  17. Put it this way, I had a broken ring on my 2.3 Mazda 6 and there was no smoke at all until heavy acceleration and even then couldnt notice it while driving. That was going through a lot of oil too!!
  18. They would def be the wrong stroke. Short answer, dont do it.
  19. Red is nice and slagish
  20. Using a litre of oil every 500 miles is a lot to me. The mileage/wear cant be high enough for that sort of use! What did they actually do as a full rebuild? Is there a possibility this couldve been an issue before and linked to the head gasket issue? You would expect to see white smoke if it was something serious (Ringland) but you say your not getting anything
