  4. A dentman will do it no probs. Same thing happened to me except it was the front arch right on the swage line. Cost me £100 to get it sorted.
  5. 7. Hi Mark they are every 2nd Sunday of the month so the next one is June the 8th. They also have a dedicated forum http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk And we are spoilt with quite a few good traders in the area aswell.
  8. Find had to believe so many people under 30 can get insurance on them. When I got my classic back in 2001 I had to pay through the nose for the 1st cple of years even with full no claims. The 1st year a fair few brokers wouldn't even quote me as I didn't have the experience in a car that powerful. Even though I was stepping up from a 205 Gti. They are fairly cheap now and it's so easy to get insurance on the classics these, days means it's in reach of the scrottes.
  9. Welcome to the club, there's quite a few knowledgable people here and a good knowledge base of trusted traders we can can point you too if needed.
  10. Here's an update on Tuhlee. She's 8 months old now and such a character. This was earlier in the week after a tiring afternoon at the parlour.
  11. Why not get them wrapped in vinyl or dipped with a carbon effect, a lot cheaper than actual carbon ones.
  12. It's wierd, your sense of smell is saying its a disco crisp, put it you your mouth expecting crunch and it's all soft. Really messes with you. General opinion in the office was they are not good. A couple of people said they were ok, most wouldn't even try them, by the end of the day there were 2 S&V and 5 C&O. The C&O were by far the worst, they smelt like warm cheese and were moist to the touch. Not pleasant at all. £1.00 for 10 they are worth having a go even if you end up chucking them.
  13. Got distracted looking for pics for the bodypaint thread :) Products used: R222 Total auto wash (Non-toxic) & 303 Aerospace Protectant http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/r222-total-auto-wash-cat2.html http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/303-aerospace-protectant-cat19.html Shop around can be got cheaper than links R222 Total auto wash. 1. apply this liberally to your engine compartment, ensuring anything sensitive to liquid is covered obviously (cone air filters etc) - Leave for 5 mins after spraying (do not allow to dry) then agitate with a brush/sponge etc while removing with a light water spray. 2. Leave engine bay to dry, or dry manually with a soft cloth. 303 Aerospace Protectant 3. Apply this liberally to all surfaces within the engine bay, plastics, metals, the lot - Allow to dry - 1-4 hours. Ignore what the product labelling says about wiping on with a cloth and polishing off...just spray ensuring a good coverage and leave. 4. Cup of tea. 5. remove any overspray on non-engine bay paintwork, or windscreen with a soft cloth. 6. Another Cup of tea cos you're done. Start with a warm engine as it helps the 303 to dry quicker. Try not to get too much oversrpay on exterior paint, as it will remove most polish systems also. Won't harm the paint though.
  14. heres mine just after cleaning it. Good tip clean the engine before the body!!!
  15. 18" OZ Alleggerita. Not sure about exact specs, but the suspension is standard so the offset is what ever the shop supplied :)
  16. Lucky he didn't get the **** kicked out of him.
  17. Seat Leon, Cupra or Ibiza might do the job :p Welcome to the club.
