  1. There's is nothing wrong with the central locking. The key and opening doors is a nightmare. In their infinite wisdom Subaru decided to make the central locking a two stage process. You have to press the button a 2nd time as soon as the indicator has stopped it's flash. There's is a knack to it, if you are too early ie when the indicator is still on, it will lock itself again. If you are too late with the 2nd press after the indicator has gone off it will lock itself again. After 14 months of ownership I still haven't mastered it. You can't reprogram it either, I contacted Subaru when I 1st got the car. As I thought it was faulty aswell.
  2. It worth it, however you'll need an ECU remap and friendly mot tester. I get a bit of grief for gold wheels on a black car
  3. Agree breakers is your best bet, prob need to get it reps rayed but it will be a hell of a lot cheaper than a dealer. Try South East Imprezas 07891129485 he generally breaks Classics, but does get later models from time to time.
  4. Welcome along. Agree with Matt, only thing puts me off is the wheels. Still it's not my car so who gives a toss what I think :)
  5. No ones mentioned Mapping yet. This ca cost from between £300-500 depending on if the car has been mapped previously. If it hasn't been mapped then you will be looking at the £500 as you will need to pay for the ecu licence. The most you could do without mapping for power mods imho is upgrade to a pannel filter. Any mods espec induction kits, Fuel pumps, injectors, coil packs or exhaust will require a remap as you will changing the air fuel ratios so will reqiuire a remap.
  6. The porno remark was meant to illustrate the fact that as a parent, there are something you would not let your kids see, as it's not meant for them, so why let them see violence in games like GTA which are judged suitable for over 18's
  7. Ther thing is... if Video games were that bad then we would have millions of nutters roaming the streets. GTA 5 was a top selling game shifting over 3 million copies. So we have 3 million nuttters there, add in COD, Dead Rising, Battlefield etc nad the streets shouldn't be safe. Why not deal with the fact that a 15 year old was playing an 18 rated game? The parents should be ensuring they do not have access to these. When I worked in a shop the amount of parents buying GTA's Cod's & Hitman type titles all 18 rated for their kids was unelivable. Even when I point out its an 18 they just look at you blankly and don't give a ****. What would you do it your kid wanted a Hardcore !Removed! film with S&M scenes in them would you let them watch it? Then why let them play viloent 18 rated games? I kinow its hard to resrict access but a lot of parents don't even bother to find out what the game play entails and just blithly let thier kids paly them. Personally I dont see an issue with COD type games ect. After all you see all that kind of stuff in any post WWII war film, its the GTA and more extreme games that are more of a concern. The majority of people who play these games know its make belive and wouldn't act out on any impulses from them. So why legisate for a minority who if not Video games something else will trigger the physcopathic tendencies. Just be thankfull we arent allowed to carry guns like the U.S.!
  8. Go back 20 years pick up any comic like the Beano or Dandy and you will find bullying, fighting, generally nasty stuff. Tom and jerry cartoons, frying pans, bricks, irons to the face ect. There has always been violence in popular entertainment. Just I was brought up to know these things are wrong and you don't do it yourself.
  9. Typical daily mail readers, they were all over LBC saying it was pot and games that made this kid stabb the teacher. Its an ongoing theme for the daily fail to pin everything on Video games and weed rather than crap parenting. Video games do not corrupt kids morals, they dont have them instilled in them from thier parents. Everyone has thoughts like "I could punch that guy in the face for cutting me up", "I could run that ****** on the bike over for just being on a bike" but we dont act on them as we have a concionce and morlas instilled into us by our family and teachers. A lot of kids these days were brought up just being dumped infront of the TV by the parents instead of engaing thier kids.
  10. There's no reason we can't go into the S level is there? As long as the cars handling, launch and acceleration ect are all about the same. This would allow the brakes to be upgraded and the cars to stay with the same balance on performance.
  11. I've been using in car for ages, always used to use bonnet cam, until the cockpits started looking so great, will try a few laps with bonnet and see how it goes, might even drag the wheel out.
  12. Take another bite of the apple you know it makes sense :) Proud to say there is not one bit of Samsung kit in my house. That's to do with a South London football club more than not liking the products :)
  13. View shouldn't be restricted nor should gears & clutch use imho. As an alternative to brake bias you can adjust all the triggers, pedals and wheel movements in the controller config. It takes a while to get just how you like it, but it can be done.
  14. Brake bias isn't really performance/ handling enhancing,it's a personal preference. I'm happy to allow adjustment of brake bias but camber and toe can dramatically adjust the handling and way the car performs. It's unfair on the people who can't tune to allow too much tuning.
  15. Haynes don't do manuals for Subaru. IM never gave Haynes Models to tear down :( Only resources are work shop manuals available as PDF files from the links shown.
  16. Soleberg Germany Hinklestien. Nuff said eek
  17. Always get mine from fleabay. Yours is £3 cheaper though.
  18. If you live near someone with the same car you could swap over ECU's and take it for a drive see if the fault replicates with the 2nd "good" ECU.
  19. Doesn't their profile pics kind of give it away?
  20. It's a flexible piece of plastic, you could use blue tack, double sided sticky tape, elastic bands. Basicly however you want, You could punch screw holes in them and screw them on swapping the plates over. I'm just going to stick them to my real plate with double sided tape so I can easily pull them off when leaving the show.
  21. Would need the measurements of the JDM plates, then I could send them to the printers and get them to print some out. As they would be on a bespoke basis the postage is quite expensive though, as it's £10 pnp to me then £4-5 from me to you. I could get them to send them direct to you guys?
