  1. That’s s*it. Are you going to buy it back or won’t it be worth it?
  2. Nice to see another classic getting some TLC! Good luck with the project.
  3. Second hand wheels bought and fitted so it’s original. Not bad for £130. Check the photo bomber on the second pic. Cheeky little tyke.
  4. If they are damaged and you need new ones you might need to get them sprayed black as new ones come silver or primed. Unless you find someone who paints them to order. Good luck
  5. Done as in refurbished? They should have unless they damaged them taking them out. I’d ring them to see where they are.
  6. That’s the way to do it!
  7. Friendly MOT center might be required then if the system isn’t leaking.
  8. Hi. With the emissions, did it fail big style or just by a few points? Mine failed a few years ago on emissions but the guy doing it just let it warm up by ticking over. I drove it hard to my MOT last year and it passed with flying colours. Genuine Cats are getting hard to come by and are expensive although they are still about. Depends how much you want to spend, a sports cat might be the better option and last longer.
  9. I’d be gutted. Good luck getting it sorted.
  10. Washed, waxed, windows cleaned and hoovered out. Two hours well spent.
  11. Overheating could be as simple as an airlock in the system. I’d have it sniff tested. Who was it’s last owner or was it from a garage? As for the rust put some pics on. If I had some of the underneath of mine when I bought it I’d put them on. It had overall body corrosion as an advisory on mine 2 years ago and I got rid of that last year. It took a good few hours, a wire brush, some rust treatment, and paint. I could of undersealed it but it’s only out in the summer so there was no need.
  12. The old tin worm has had a field day with that body work. Good to see it being fixed and not scrapped!
  13. Hi, there’s plenty of people on here who have expertise in all aspects of mechanics. I’d put on what the issues are and a few photos if it’s something visual and go from there. What year bugeye have you got? Is it modified? How many miles and has it got a good service history?
  14. You could try taking the lead out of your right shoe... 😂 my missus has a go at me but I say It could be worse, I could be interested in golf!
  15. Traitor. Lol. At least it’s still a Scooby!
  16. It passed its MOT in August so it’s still out there. Good luck in finding it.
  17. I’d hold out for a classic. 😆👍
  18. It’s each to their own mate. I prefer the classics to the bugeyes but not everyone’s the same. I’d say clean examples of both will be hard to find without paying top dollar for them.
  19. Decent clean examples are getting hard to find. There was a stunning catalunya on autotrader a few weeks back but the wife is full of arms and legs so priorities come first! Have a think about the blue one though, that’s been on sale for a while so he might be battered down on price.
  20. I’d have a look at this one too.
  21. I’ve had a search on a few sites and found 3 that I’d consider going to see. The others I saw have rust patches on the wheel arches, and generally look abused. The silver one at the bottom is in Northern Ireland... you did say you’d travel for the right car!! Haha. Good luck mate.
  22. Hi. Have you got a budget your working too, and are you looking for a standard car or a modified version?
  23. Try Subaru themselves mate. I’ve found some genuine parts on there that weren’t much more expensive than aftermarket ones.
  24. The part number you want is 93073FE770. There’s a few places that do them if you put the number into google.
