  4. Best way i always start at stock then build up a couple different tunes. Better in f4 as didn't cost more money to do the same. Just hoping my A tune is driveable
  5. Excellent. I'm gonna have to throw a tune together as i've not driven either of me impreza's for ages. always found the new age to be really understeery. So will be the 22b i'll be using
  6. What size rims were the old ones ? If same size why not swap onto new rims get some winter tyres for old ones ? Save all the nasty salt from getting in those lovely new wheels

  8. Don't mean to hi jack the thread. Jow does this work with the alarm/immob ? I'm lookong at getting one purely cos i now live in a block of appartments. Car is parked in a secure garage and in the morning i want to warm it for 5 10 mins and go have a brew, have an aftermarket alarm and just wonder what are the complications ?
  9. Hello, I've never had a 4x4 before either or anything turbo'd apart from my vans. Although my foz is a petrol and a bit older than yours i love it. Fuel economy isn't much different to my mx5. Comfort ride are a difderent level and the fact that's high enough to get off road occasionally but not to high that my misses struggles to get in is great and it handles like a car instead of a big suv.
  10. Lol i get that bit, which alps track full normal ? A class unlimited mods. Are we sticking with awd or are drivetrain swaps ok ? What assists on or off ?

  14. Right if anyones interested just posted a write up in the foz section, if i've missed anythingor it looks rubbish give us a shout and il ammend it. If in wrong section please move it mods :-)
  15. Thought id post up a brief guide to installing a master cylinder stopper bracket to a first gen forester, principals the same as a classic impreza. The purpose of the stopper is to eliminate the movement of the servo and cylinder/resevoir under heavy braking as the firewall isn't the thickest. I ordered a tegiwa stopper as they seemes to have good feedback on the products. When it turned up there were no instructions and only a couple of bolts. It's pretty straight forward. Tools i used for the job are 10mm socket 12mm socket 12mm spanner Extension bar This should take around 20 mins ! Provided all the fittings are the correct size, bare in mind this is a generic product so may not be. First off on remove these two 10mm bolts that hold the boost solinoid and other electrical gubbins on Just ease it to one side to give you more room. Behind this you will find two round stickers, ignore the one closest to the wing and peel back the other to reveal a threaded hole with a captive nut. The long flat peice of the stopper will attach to this. 2nd stage is to unbolt the brake bias housing and the little carrier that its attached to. Directly behind the two white circles is a bolt with a 12mm head. I took the bolt out and eased the whole unit away from the tower and slide the main plate of the stopper behind it without removing the existing carrier. On the main plate there are four holes i only used two and decided to hook the carrier guie into the upper most one then screwed the original bolt back in, its fiddly grrr ! This is where things went wrong for me as the bolts supplied with the kit to attach the barcket were way too big. I ended up getting two 25mm machine m6 size bolts and cutting them to 15mm Now the really fiddly part. Below and a little to the right of the 12mm bolt just installed is the 2nd mounting hole. you can just see it in between the resevior and the main body. I worked out that you can just fit a 3/8ths drive bar in there attach a 10mm socket on the other side, slide bolt in align and do up. Pain in the !Removed! doesn't come close. That should be the main bracket attaches to the side of the Shock tower. Next return to the hole in step 1 and place the small arm across to the main bracket. Insert m6 bolt and do up. Then just do up the bolt supplied to attach the two bits of brace and dial in the stop to the end of the resevior and your done. Replace the bost solinoid bracket and admire your handy work
  16. I'm not that bad ! Only really get kicked for delibrate ramming and flashing ready up icon when i'm not ready haha
  17. Didn't stephan belloff do it in a little over 6 mins in a lemans spec porker ? In this months evo they have a special on the p1 looks really good naked too
  18. Haha i'm laughing at your reply not your situation. What a bell end you can only hope your plea is heard by the bay. Can they see your messages you have sent to strengthen your case ? At the end of the day hes broken the terms of the contract you both entered !
  19. Haha power ! If anyone gt on me !Removed! i ll kick them
  20. I'm on virgin, only 30meg i think but never had any problems in the past. As for using difgerent views im ok with that, we did a comparison using different ones and we worked out that front bumper view was fastest by about 2 seconds followed by in car then the following views were slowest
  21. Jay, no because i just orderd an impreza one. I'd like somone to check the size of the holes on the impreza tower before i fed back. Shouldn't be different but you never know, Once i've confirmed that its the same i will do. They only have one listed on the web site so i took a punt. They have different ones on ebay site but all say will fit impreza. Where is the re subscribe to thread button ? Manage to take myself off by accident
  22. More the fact that it was a twenty min job but because of incorrect parts it took 3 days :-( Thats the reason why i've only got 2 pictures may just do one with a before and after pic for forester owners benifit
  23. Finally fitted ! Sod the writeup as it took too long.
