  1. It is a good option, and once on the car you don't see em. I'll try to take a picture and post it.
  2. I've got the tein flex z over the xmas for about 700£. Had them installed about 3 weeks ago. I'm quite happy with them. In almost the softest setting they were soft but you can feel the linear springs. City ride sxcelent but at hiway speed car was a bit wavy. Since then I went up to 8 cliks front (out of 25kicks damping) in the front and 13 clipks rear. Car still on the soft side but eager to go (forester jdm 2.0 t). Work in progress. Aut of the box set up by tein, dropped the car about 1". Was not expecting for that but looking better and finally today I've just almost took my rear bumper off over a insignificant curb :( Quality wise they are beautiful but green. If anybody knows, one question, when I put them on I realized that I have camber adjustable bolts only in the front. What if I put the camber adjustable bolts in the rear and adjust fronts from the camber plate. I'm only looking to about 1°?

  4. I can extend the same offer to enyone in need.
  5. @Walleye, I have a set of complete suspension for an SG5 listed, you probable seen it. Just to help out, if interested you can have it only for the shipping fee or for free if you want to pick it up. As stated 40k on the set, nothing wrong with it. If you want to go this way and works for you and happy you can pay me (or not) whenever and whatever you think is fair. Just let me know.
  6. FYI, right out the box (set up by tein) lowered the car by 1". Not necessarily looking for that but looks better this way even if defeating the purpose of a forester.
  7. Wrongly stated in my previous post. Flex Z are the ones with dampening feature.
  8. I'm not trying to b a smart **** but don't forget, coilovers can be lowered or raised to the required height. @Jay, do you have the same setting (dampening) front and rear, or different?
  9. Don't have a wrx-sti but I can share my experience with my Forester CrossSports. I had exactly the same question like yours a few months back but had a not the best experience with lowering springs on a Fiest ST. Lowering springs put the shocks out of their expected work range. Over Christmas I got a good deal on some Tein street Z coilovers (£750). 25 clicks adjustment for dampening and rebound. Had them installed a few days ago. On almost the softest setup incredible soft but I didn't like the car balance mostly at highway speed. Went up about half way, better balance and handling but not crushy. I would say suspension setup is personal choice. Work in progress. I would also mention that I could feel (even in the softest setup) the linear Tein springs vs the progressive OEMs I am still considering a thicker rear ARB, OEM is about D17mm
  10. Decided to go coilovers way on my 2007 (41k) Forester JDM Cross Sports (2.0 turbo). Now I've got for sale basically the whole suspension that would fit any SG5 / SG9 forester. In very good condition,no leaks no rust, no cracks on rubber tophats. I'm asking 200£ shipped or 150£ if picked up. Located south of Cambridge. Also I've got for sale the original back box from the same car. 32k when replaced. Also in good condition. Asking 100£ shipped / 75£ picked. Make me an offer I can't refuse.
  11. Michelin crossclimate
  12. 225/50 won't do the trick. Actually the wheel arch gap will be marginally biger. To fill up the wheel arch gap: 1. Go wider keep tire profile the same. Odometer and spedometer will be off 2. Lower the car: a. Lowering springs (I would not recommend. ) b. Coilovers (more expensive, but the right way to do it in my opinion )
  13. 225 is just 10 mm wider (5 mm inside and 5 mm out) In order to keep the spedometer and odometer as acurate as posible 225/50/17 (101% are ok for ur application ) is ur best option. On a side note the availability on 225s is quite better. www.tacomaworld.com gives you all the details and calculus for any tires you need. No, I don't know the widest tires u can put on a sf but defo someone knows.
  14. Tegiwaimports 15% on Ebay
  15. Whiteline has 25% off. I'm also close looking at Tein, but nothing yet. Now I have another ideea. My rear stock ARB are 18mm. What if I drill (enough room) another hole closer inside the ARB for a stiffer response more like the adjustable stiffness and go for an upgraded drop links? Save a buck and increase stiffness. Anybody tryed that?
  16. Thank you
  17. "Money no object" was a figure of speech. My point is if I go with rear ARB whiteline(22mm) + uprated holders + endlinks I'll be around £350. If I go BC coilovers I'm looking to £850. Does the £500 extra for the coilovers worth it as a first upgrade ?
  18. If "money is no object" what would be ur first choice for a SG Forester better handling : 1 - Rear ARB 2 - Coilovers
  19. Replaced my 2007 Foresyer head unit and speakers, no battery disconnect necessary.
  20. I have a JDM Forester 2007 ( cross sports) and under the passager seat I had (still have ) the GPS card reader part of the head unit Panasonic Strada (replaced) As for the alarm system, there is none. It beeps when lock / unlock but that,s all to it. You can try the battery dead key to manually lock unlock and start the car, see if it works. Hope it helps.

  24. Hixton - I94? To make the story short YES. I had a Crosstrek 2016 and got rid of it because of the cvt. No mechanical problems but lifeless.
  25. If anybody interested in a Panasonic Strada (JDM, double din, free of charge) please let me know. ln great working order but being a jdm had a limited working range.
