Were the fogs working with just the boost gauge connected ? I'd disconnect the other gauges and double check any fuses starting with 10 amp (normally red) preferably switch each fuse with a spare go

  • I had sane problem try www.etsracing.com it's only a small company and he hand makes the stuff so fit may need to be trimmed. Scooby part and world do them aslso but are a bit more pricy

  • Yes they light up amber...If i cant fit them i'll have to ask someone on here :) For beer tokens All it says is oil and water sensors included full fitting kit with instructions   I ordered boost,

Can yours be daisy chained together ? Will save you a lot of work if they are.

Like rick says it's really simple plus you've got all the wiring on place in the centre trom the clock

Have you got a link to the exact one's you bought stu ?

If it's electronic like my depo 4 in 1 the sensor end is fairly easy

Oil pressure is the black plug at the front which fits in place of the oe sender

Oil temp is the white wire at the rear left ,make sure the area around the bung is clean before removing original bung (you don't want !Removed! dropping in the oilway above cylinder 3)

fit the brass "ferrule" (nut with the hole in stants kit) and then screw the oil temp sender into the ferrule . Make sure you do it in that order as the sender hole in the ferrule is sometimes tapered to aid a seal

Boost just needs vacuum and you've probably got a blanked take off on the inlet .

If you haven't got a spare take off ,Have a look at vacuum hose kits on ebay as they're not to expensive and include a few t pieces and various size hoses .

Inside just earth , ignition live and light exciter most of which can be taken from the clock, like stants said

you will prob just get the gauges mate, the rest is quite easy to get hold of in any motor factors / ebay

Boost gauge is the simplest one to do!

Says they come with fitting kits and oil and water sensors but I'd imagine that you would still need to buy the bung with a hole in it to fit the oil temp sensor they supply.

as it's a subaru specific part made to locate the oil temp sensor above cylinder number 3 (hottest cylinder next to the turbo)

most kits are for a wider range of makes so I had to buy "stants" kit just for the brass bung with a threaded hole in it, see when they turn up .

you could always start off with the easier boost gauge and sort the power , earth , lights and fit the pod while waiting for other bits if they're not in your kit [emoji6]

I got a genuine bung from subaru it was a little bit more but its an exact fit. And the sender holder from the bay,

Cheers for the advice, think i'll wait and see what I exactly get....

changed my mind ordered the "stants kit" and another kit to fit boost gauge(only £6) just in case.So in theory I should have everything I need....

Your shopping has made me want to add oil temp and water temp !

I was lazy and installed mine on top of no 3 cylinder so would need to relocate the oil pressure to under the alternator, and add another sender to the original bung. Just depends of I can be arsed

Same as you mate,my car is my only hobby as such so I needed to do some retail therapy as the ladies say :D

Im sure i'll be swearing when im trying to fit it all...but I love it really :D

Now going to pick them up from p/office so we'll see whats included..

All appears to be there but i need 16 gauge twin wire, 2metres per gaugex3 enough do you think? No dash pod yet :(

No chance of being able to link them all in, then run power to the 1st one and just wires fore senders then ? May save you some time fighting with miles of wire

  • Author

So couId i connect power to the first gauge then link the other 3 off that power supply wire?

  • Author

Right everything has arrived now, gauges, dash pod,"stants kit" so let the madness begin...Well on Saturday hopefully..Better get my swear tin at the ready :D

Good news mate i'd start by just offering the pod and gauges up to each other make sure everything fits before you start ripping the dash apart,

  • Author

Yea knowing me I normally jump in head first,so i'll take my time on this, pod and gauges then boost gauge first as its the easiest.

did you get a center pod?

  • Author

Heres a pic of the gauges, but wheres the feed from the clock? Or can I use a feed from somewhere else?Few quid in the swear tin so far

Hmm did you cat not have the clock situated where you've put the pod ?

If not you could always take the perm live and battery on live from the hazard warning switch. Does mean removing more of the facia, do you have a multi meter ?

  • Author

Don't know what you mean about the clock?Got a meter and at the moment ive taken a live and ground off the cig lighter(thought about hazards),not connected permanent yet, just testing, got the vac pipe through that !Removed! grommet, going to test in a while-having a cuppa now
