Gaulson Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I do try :). I'm no good with a spanner though, I know how a car goes together but actually being physical and getting it right is where I struggle. Don't mind being hands on though :). I'm usually good for company rather than help itself unless it's holding something while it's bolted into place. 1
savage bulldogs Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 I've just spotted these 1'8's with good tyres and wouldn't mind if you could photoshop em onto my car gaulson ? As I wouldn't mind a try before you buy pic if possible [emoji6]
Gaulson Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 What wheels are they? Look like my new prodrive speedline pff7's.
savage bulldogs Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 Not to sure what make they are just thought it might be less hassle than getting my rotas sprayed silver [emoji5]
savage bulldogs Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 Yeah cheers for the pm bud [emoji106] Could we emm give the stickers a miss ..... I still feel a bit queasy from the scoob with the dragon tattoo pic [emoji1] 1
Gaulson Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 There you go Savage, best I could do as the image quality of the wheels was really bad. If I could tell what wheels they are I could get a better picture and do a good job ;) 2
Scoobyghost Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 That looks good mate. Might have to find myself a set of those wheels. Top job Gaulson
Gaulson Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Savage wouldn't let me do anything else but the wheels :(
Gaulson Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I know you are a fan of Ken Block Savage but this is a little bit too far.... 1
stants Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Can safely say we'll all be struck off sav's Christmas card list at this rate [emoji33]
savage bulldogs Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Thanks gaulson (i think) [emoji5] I'd slept on it and sort of made my mind up to keep the rotas as they're a lovely wheel but after seeing the 18's photo shopped onto my classic I'm sort of 50 50 now[emoji57] And no stants I'm gonna get you a necklace made from pork chops for xmas ........ Then if ever I find myself in your neck of the woods I can introduce you to my bulldog [emoji23]
savage bulldogs Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Still can't make my mind up [emoji53] Got a better pic of the 18's But still loving the rotas
stants Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Just get the rota's re done or is your plan to have two sets anyway ?
savage bulldogs Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 I've got a set of 17" speedline chronos off my uk as well lol. but I was going to sell those once I've got the rotas done . Will admit the 18's won't clear brembos and if I end up with much more power I'll probably need to upgrade the brakes at some point anyways . Think I've just made my mind up time to look for some new wheel nuts and centre caps for the rotas [emoji4]
stants Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 The rota's are the mutts nuts though, don't think I've seen a pair that I didn't like
Gaulson Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 So my photoshop skills didn't sway you towards buying new ones, bummer :(. Your rotas do look great, sometimes just a refresh of things like wheel nuts does make the difference :).
savage bulldogs Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Very nearly cos they look good it was just a few other factors that made me stick with the rotas . The calibre gtr 18's don't fit brembos (I'll probably need bigger brakes eventually) I like the ride/handling with the 17's (dunno if the smaller profile tyres would change that) The rotas are a better made rim and are lighter . I've found someone who will acid strip refurb and re powder coat each rim for £40+ vat . So hopefully they'll be silver and back on with new nuts/centre caps within a fortnight If anyone else likes the look of the 18's they're on scabby net for £400 collected from basildon [emoji6]
