I am curious to know if there are any issues or what I should look out for. The expenses an services. I have a focus ST 2010 model, I am looking for something more practical as mine is 3 an looking at 5dr. Hope someone can give me advice so I can compare the cars. stants
Are you buying new or used ? If outside warranty then a good independent will be at least half the price of dealer. Rough idea Major service 400 Minor 100 Cambelt 350-400 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
CPJH10
It's used covered 63k on a 2008 plate. It's listed up at £13k, how many miles will it be before it needs major changes like the cambelt? With that many miles would it have any issues engine wise that I should look out for. Thanks
Scoobyghost
If the belt hasn't been done it'd be top of the list. An 8 year old belt despite miles will be aging and possibly show signs of perishing.
CPJH10
Any engine issues I know mine suffer with split liners in the block but mines been done so all good lol.

Beags
Mine is a 2008 hatch. Bought a year ago 52000 miles. But was a ppp upgrades and I got it for £13k. Sent from my SM-G357FZ using Tapatalk
stants
Cambelt 5 years or 100k so I'd see if they'd do it as part of the sale. As for engine issues they suffered from Ringland issues but there was a recall for a map adjustment, but depends on how it been looked after I've seen engines go at 30k but others are still going strong well over 100k Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

GeoffLeggy
Maybe consider a JDM 2.0 litre Hawkeye Hold its value better too #just saying (I usually do lol)

GeoffLeggy
If you've got £13k great
savage bulldogs
Spec c would be my choice for outta the box performance and holding its value by keeping it standard . If your gonna "tweek" it then a jdm sti wide track is a great platform to start from with a 13k budget [emoji6] If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊
CPJH10
Won't upgrade had to many issues with theST cos of upgrades been unlucky. What's £13k lol
savage bulldogs
Sorry I thought you said you had a £13,000 (£13k) budget. A jdm sti with just a remap would run about 330hp If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊
CPJH10
No no, I wish I had 13k if I am honest only have money from that 👆🏼👆🏼 As getting a house
Tidgy
Wouldn't touch a 2.5 that hasn;t had the engine sorted out myself. Or if i did would budget 3k to get the engine done straight away. Do you have a budget in mind?
