DAVIDTOLAND
Hi all I got my car a 2002 Subaru impreza 2ltr Gx NA with automatic transmission June 3rd from a dealer in Scotland . The Car I loved it the min I saw it on the advert online BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE A KNIGHMARE the car had a presales report saying x, y & z had been done but it was lies the car was unroadworthy and dangerous it ended up at the garage I use on the 4 june the next day . It cost me a further £1500 jn parts and labour but worth it I love it to bits pity if the dealer I got her from was not honest I would still have bought it but at less than I paid . The car has under 60k VOSA verified milage and the body and iinterior trim is like new . I think I have found a car marque I will stick with having owned Vauxhalls senators cavaliers in my younger days and bmw 3 series a saab 93 convertible and a Jag s-type before my scoob I find the impreza a nice car and head turner . Even though mine is stock standard down to the radio ! . Only thing I have noticed is kids in their tarted up citreons and corsas wanting to race me !!! OMG LOL does anyone else get this . I will post pics up shortly . I know I only had this car a few months but if I could afford one I would get a hawk eye time to start saving
Gambit
Welcome to S.O.C And yes you will get it all the time. I've had everything from van's Corsa's Saxos you name it. Biggest one I find and my all time pet hate Audi's. Ex BMW drivers or people with small minds and errrm small... Yeah you get the idea ;) Sometime's I can't help myself but show them what it can do. Other times I have this really loud high pitch noise when I do. But only when the Missus is in the car, still looking in to it ;)

Miggs
welcome aboard, lots of help and info available on here pal, sounds like a typical car dealer imo, there are some good ones but they are few and far between from what i have seen, i refuse to buy off them anymore, as for the racing side of things, i have 1 guy in a saxo VTR who is always wanting his **** handing to him everytime he see's me, theres a lexus is200 that has tried once but not since the first time, he learnt his lesson, but that's about it really for the numpty's the rest are fellow subie owners, might be the scoop that puts most off as with no scoop they know it's a non turbo, with a scoop theres a chance it's a turbo car
Jay762
so that could be a real stealth approach -- install front mounted intercooler and have a scoop free bonnet - tee hee
Miggs
i have thought that myself to be fair, i always said if i got one i would do that and paint the intercooler black so you can't tell, i was then asked why would i get rid of an alloy bonnet for a steel one? well my turbo 2000 has a steel bonnet like i believe do all the uk turbo imprezas, it's the imports that have the alloy ones so not a big problem there then lol
